MrMunkeepants:
After throwing that switch go have a look at all the office doors.
You'll figure out the rest from there easily enough.

So nobody knows how to get up to the area where the archers patrol, way up high? There is a ladder up there; I can see it from the ground, extending from the archer's walkway up higher.
But I have no idea how to get up there in the first place. Doesn't anybody know?

From the bridge, head up the hill, hang a right and it's just around the corner. I didn't answer you before because you were already so close I figured you'd find it right after posting.

Thanks, JACKofTrades*; oddly enough, I found it just after posting.
I would describe it thus: in the open plaza where the guard patrols a peculiar "triangle" pattern -- straight away from a wall, then angling back to his left, then angling again to complete the triangle -- to the guard's right as he's walking the long straightaway is a ladder leading up to the walkway where the archer patrols; this leads to the police station, where you find one objective.
Thanks to some posters here, I managed to ghost it with 1340 loot in about three and a half hours of game time. I think it was a clean ghost; I checked carefully to make sure there were no alerts, and I know I didn't destroy any property.
A lot of hiding, waiting for all the guards to have their backs to me, then running like heck across the brightly lit area. Also, I had to crouch in deep shadow and wait for the guard to walk up, bump right into me, mumble something like "better not be the sergeant checking up on me," and walk on... very nerve-wracking!
One hard-to-ghost point: the metal pipe leading from the walkway to the room with the engine. An archer overlooks that pipe, and there is a light above it that illuminates it enough that, even moving as slow as possible, I alerted him every time.
So I took the opposite tack: I crept as far as the shadow allowed, then stood and shot a moss arrow onto the pipe itself; then I ran full-speed across the lit, mossed area. I got a grumble -- "what's that?" -- but I was in view too briefly for him to alert. Coming back, I just ran back across.
For me, the hardest ghosting was in the police station, romping up and down the stairs and among the cell blocks. Cops everywhere, surprisingly enough!
A fun mission... but a map would have been very, very useful; I got lost repeatedly, running in circles like a crazy man.
Thanks,
Dafydd
* When I first typed your name, it somehow came out "JACKofTirades." I fixed the tyop, but I thought it was too good not to share!

That valve is
an arrow launcher. It will shoot arrows that will land near the cog door. Walk a little to the right of the building where the 'valve' is, there should be an open window with a key which unlocks it.
But this device is not part of any of the objectives and is just for fun.

The valve (in the upper left of your screen shot) has no purpose that I could find. It didn't affect the operation of the arrow launcher in any way.

I played on " normal ", since I read that it was hard , and was there

skylight , with the translucent designs , in the warehouse .....beautiful:cool:

way up there ?? I love exploring ......especially rooftops .:)

Absolutely GREAT FM!!! Having the time of my life exploring all over the place! Pretty devious of the author to have all the guards wearing the 'unblackjackable' helmets; pretty devious indeed. But it's created a challenge for me on 'Hard' and I'm having a lot of fun, so I'm not complaining. My compliments to the author; you've created a very worthwhile FM!!
I'm now 3hrs.30mins. into this FM & only have two objectives left:
1. Steal another taffer's sack
2. The Captain's storage room
I figured another taffer could be found in the jail, but have searched all over that place with no luck.
Also, I've been all through the warehouse, have been in every room & have also examined every barrel and can't find one with a frobbable top.
Help, anyone?
Thanks!
