I´ve finished this mission today, and i enjoyed very much this one, a beautifull design of that fortress, also the gameplay, the music, storyline are very good, this mission reminded me Arx Fatalis, or Conan, or also Dark Messiah.
Many thanks for this well done mission.:thumb:
Looking foward for more.

Sorry..but what a bummer of a (aka, I must be missing something) mission. I am barely underground and it's a bunch of bridges. Noware to go but down and tons of giants that kill my ass quick WTF????? I had such hope. Is it all but impossible to get a normal Thief mission anymore ? I realy think it dies about 2008.

Not really, there have been many classic FMs released since then. Besides, nothing forces you to build a "normal" Thief FM with DromEd. Everyone is free to build what he feels like and this FM was some sort of experiment :p

And an expiriment is all good. But I happen to enjoy a real Thief mission if I want to play Thief which is why I came here over 10 years ago. It just seems to be all expieriment lately :(
Please dont think I am knocking people who want to take drom ed and do something new..but thats not what im into and I have every right to feel the way I do. I miss Classic thief, period. Very much. Cant wait till T 4.

Well, I have to admit that generally I tend to lean towards Lightningline's opinion about FMs staying closer to "Classic Thief". More often than not, I find that I don't care for FMs which attempt to reinvent the game.
With that said, however, there are exceptions, and this FM is definitely one of the exceptions! I had a blast playing this mission, and here are my reasons why:
1. The design, placement and climbability of the terrain/ladders/structures/lighting was perfect and so much fun to use.
2. Contrary to most new AI implementation, I thought these new AI were very well done, so much so that they added new strategic elements to the gameplay. The big guys were slow, and could be outrun, so the fast, little guys were the primary targets. Extra fun-points for the ability to lure the little guys into small firepits in their searches for me, eventually killing themselves. Ha! ...and the little guys singing the "drunk song" made me laugh, too. Haha!
3. Another "additional feature" I don't usually like is the most-often poorly explained "complete objective X by using object Y on object Z" objective implementation. Again, however, in this mission, it was explained clearly in a reasonably short and concise readable.
4. Entering the area with the castle was a true, honest-to-builder, "Whoa!" moment. Awesome!
5. Yet another peeve of mine is when you are given new weapons with special abilities, but don't need them at all in order to complete the mission. I found that I did need to use the cool new weapons provided in order to get past some areas. Additionally, not only did I find them necessary, they also added to the gameplay and potential strategy in very new and fun ways.
I have only played as an archer so far, but intend on trying as both Warrior and Mage soon.
Exceptionally well done, intruder! Bravo, congrats, and thank you! :thumb::thumb::thumb::)

Here I have the problem that I'm always killed at the start of the mine by the first man (or whatever he shall be) with a sword. (I have also tried it in DromEd in Fly Mode, but also I'm always killed. These guys are too fast...
It's very loud when I go around. I normally don't use moss arrows, and I'm not sure if there are any.
Or am I not supposed to enter the mines in the beginning? Is there another way?
I play on Warrior (= Normal).
