Didn't expected it was possible to
smash that door because I didn't heard a crack sound :p:grr: Nice mission :thumb:
Thanks Caradavin, and Yandros for completing and releasing it.
The only thing I had trouble with was finding the key to the stair door.
Things I liked:
- Story.
The same detailled descriptions about the inhabitants as in Lord Maguire Estates Part 1. I really enjoyed reading through the many scrolls and books.
- Fog.
Nice use of fog, especially impressive on the roof, where the darkness hides the patrolling guards.
- Benny.
A new Benny adventure :D
- Various other things.
Paintings, secrets, and the room with the corpses of Lucinda, the baron and her
evil spirit.
Things I didn't liked:
- When walking through the building parts of room suddenly light up when I entered them. Could this be caused by the fog?
- Each room having another texture feels a little strange and out of place to me.
- Various low-texture original objects not replaced by an improved version. The largest part of the mission is made earlier, but these things could have been fixed before releasing it.
- The sudden ending. You can even finish the mission without finding out what Lord Savant is hiding.
- a few remaining bugs.
But none of these really things spoiled my fun while playing this mission. A small, good looking mansion mission that is quite the challenge on expert.

Nice one, thanks!
Two things, though: a) several times, the mission crashed on me without any particular reason, twice in the room with in front of the boarded up door, once when I tried shooting a rope arrow somewhere; b) the two guards on the second floor met in the doorway shared by their patrols and thus became stuck. It was necessary to alert one of them temporarily so as to unstuck it. But otherwise, very enjoyable.

1. Yes. I didn't have time to go through and make the fog in outdoor areas only; besides, I kind of like it, it's like a limit to Garrett's vision.
2. That was never in the plan. Originally I only intended to make sure the mission included all necessary resources (DEDx etc.), but the testers had so many good ideas that we did a little more than that with it.
3. But you can't finish it without having at least the
opportunity of finding it out; I made sure you at least had to be in the room with
his diary before completing the mission. Those who wonder what
the room with the dead people is all about should read all the books... :cheeky:

A nice fun and quick mission. One nitpick though, not sure if this is by design, but the "exit" objective should probably have been made final and irreversible. I found the end before the loot req, and the objective ticked off and then unticked as I left the room. No big deal, but it's kind of difficult to "unfind" an exit. ;)

There's a part two at their mountain estate where they are having their honeymoon, but it isn't technically created, just written down. Right now Mag. 2 is my focus. Glad you liked it, it was just a short attempt at a contest entry that I was unable to release for the actual Komag contest. Yandros cleaned it up quite well and added things that contributed in a good way to the mission. Thank you, Yandros. I'm off to Mag.2 (which is taking over my life! :ebil: :ebil: )
PS - the fat people remark was only meant as a fictional way to show just how pompous and unlikeable that woman is, nothing else. Besides, I am a fat person - why would I make fun of them?:thumb:

What is Mag 2 ???
OK I see Lord Mag Est 2 Right? Cool..I can never get enough thief...Even with all the fancy graphics out there now like HL2 and Prey. But Far cry looks old now. But I still love thief. The stories, the sneaking...I just get lost in it. :)
