Dawggon, I know where I'm supposed to go; I mean I don't remember how to get there from where I am -- which is right at the museum door. (Although, after reading the last few posts, I think I can't give him the book until after I do the Dark and Light thingie. I'd still like to know where I get the readable about making the Dark Key -- and for that matter, where I can find the Keys room.)
Nudge, anyone?

Dafydd....The keys room is in the South quarter ( I think it's called the south qtr. You get to that area from the anteroom in the tower). The book you need will be in that room.
When you first enter on a walkway I believe you enter into the foundry, bellows room, etc. Search around there carefully and pick up anything that highlights. Try all the rooms before you TRY to head up the stairs. I was successful in using the elevator. The keys room is 3 flights up so you have to check every door. There are other keys to get before going up.

Dafydd: Dwaggon has most of the details you need above, but remember to look for a tiled area, the entrance to the room you're looking for is there.

I don't quite understand what "South quarter" means. Is the Keys room in the South Star or the North Star?
There is a door on the third floor of the North Star I cannot open with any key I have or with the lockpicks. Is this it? Where is the key to this room?

Dafydd: the Keys room is in North Star. It's placed near souls sleeping places. (I don't know what you mean with third floor. Lets divide North Star to 3 parts:
Workshop floor - with machines, entry to Dark zone.
"Living" floor - with kitchen, dining room, sleeping rooms, etc.
Top most floor with doors to South Star. Attention: 1 more door to South Star is on "living" floor near Keys room !!!
The keys room is on "living" floor near sleeping rooms. Check small labels-plates near doors !
Ghosting of this FM is really a challenge... :thumb:

Aspirin... Yeesh, once again, directly I posted, I found the Keys Room with no problem. I now have the South Star, Tahsel's, Earth, Water, Air, Vine, and Ice keys; I have one ingredient placed for the Dark and Light keys; and I have no items placed for the Fire key.
I suspect some more ingredients I need are in the South Star (Edit - Nope, they're all in the North Star... all but one in the kitchen!); so I'm headed there. But is there a North Star key that corresponds to the South Star key? There are still a lot of doors I cannot open in the North Star... though I haven't yet tried using my new elemental keys.
Edit: Ah, at least some doors open with the new keys...

Dafydd: elemental keys correspond to door with colored magic light above door. No, there is not any North Star key. Doors without magic light can be opened with lockpicks or "non keys-room" keys (keys belong to some souls e.g. Tahsel key, etc.).
Simply look everywhere and you can relatively easy finish this wonderfull FM.

Do I find the ingredients for the Air key in the South Star or in the North Star? And a little hint for the locations would be helpful. :)

I have both scripts installed and still have the same problem. I'm not too bothered this bug happened as I was informed that I was close to the end anyway, but will take advice to start from an earlier save or failing that start again. When I get my computer back in two weeks after my eldest has finished his exams. :thumb:

I have done all the other objectives EXCEPT "Soul Vlain is the one who will open a way out to the City for you".
1. I drop the Book of Names in Interpreter Thale's quarters and have it trigger the objective.Ok.
2. I also have gotten the Living Breath or Dead Shadow.
I returned to Soul Vlain and he something have said (I don't understand speaking English). Help.
Intended Garrett to return the Book of Names only BEFORE or AFTER objectives Living Breath and Dead Shadow?
