Still here, sorry for not giving news about the little contribution I'm trying to give to this game experience (I can never stop thanking DrK for this).
Work Update:
I've been on the lake with some friends last week for about two days and right now it's the whole week my girlfriend uses the PC for some "Sim 2" work (I'm going to hate that game) so that all prevented me from this ongoing work.
I'm writing from the laptop where thief cannot be installed cause of low memory space, and in the last two days I redrawed the first two levels of the Map, as I can't play through the level and map the left parts of it.
The two pages done are not accurate to the proportions of the level as for the technique and the feeling I used are very rough...the first draft was a handmade walkthrugh mission drawing as it still was running, so I have to say: People let's try out this way of playing some missions, forget the in game maps and draw your own without pausing the game, it actually feels amazing, finding a clear spot to take breath and to draw what you explored...
I still have the scanning problem, maybe on september or october I'll have the chance to buy one myself...for the moment I'll still have to use the camera.
As far as I've read the "Zones" also are Huge and as not every zone is to be played to finish the mission, I think I will not make it for a full complete and detailed map for every place...who knows.
I mean to make two versions of the maps, one with the IN Game important notes and one just functional to the orientation
Will post the shots of the New maps as soon as possible, and of course i will try to improve the work.
As for the mission:
There are at least two creatures that scared me maybe because of a bug or something:
The first one is after the tunnel where you find the soul writing a report about the ice zone, there is a stairway going down and this creature is there, invulnerable to every bj or sword, actually it sometime freezes for a while.
The second one is in the "factory", it was already frozen, in a dark spot near some woodden pillar, so I didn't notice him at the time, then he attacked me coming out of darkness and I left the mouse falling from the desk...Playing that part again proved it was not meant that way but still it will be remembered as one of the scariest moments this far. he also freezes as the other one after it's been hit a few times and then comes back to life as you hit him again, it never stops "speaking"
Third part of the things that don't really fit is in the dormitories downstairs, right behind the access to the Zone activation pedistals, people can spot me attack me but as I try to knock them out they freveal themselves sometimes ethereal, i can walk them through and obviously they react bad to this; One can deal with them only with a gas arrow or mine, but as I understand they are meant to be used later on, so to avoid the waste it comes to the question if it is supposed to be so or if it is some kind of bug...one never knows what in a place like that is for real strange and what for error
I have no upgrades on my thief installation, I have to deactivate the dual core thing manually every time because Vista doesn't recognise the other way, no pack is installed and the installation of thief and of ANIR:I&D is clean...
Thanks in advance...

I have just seen a strange figure in Thales' quarters. I reloaded a saved game where I just started playing the mission and was about to speak with Thales for the first time. I had already opened the door to Thales' quarters and saw him in the distance, just below the little archway leading from his "living room" to the area with the three switches on the wall, where he gives his introductory speech.
But when the game finished loading the saved game, there was someone else there, just for a split second. He looked like a male human in white clothing, but somehow I thought of a pagan - perhaps he was not wearing any shoes at the time. This person stood closer to me than Thales, near the three switches. I have played ANIR3 already and don't remember having seen him in Thales' quarters or anywhere else in the mission.
I guess it's just a strange kind of bug, but does this person actually serve some purpose there?

dalar :
looks like you're encountering little bugs here and there, not a big deal though. And you're not supposed to do anything anytime, use your equipement as soon as you find an opportunity to do so ;)
Keep up the great work, mapper.
baeuchlein :
This is a bug from the engine. During the conversation, garrett doesn't speak himself, it has to be another invisible person in the room who has his voice. This pagan person is speaking instead of garrett, and isn't supposed to be seen.

Here's what I came up with so far:
(
http://digilander.libero.it/Lord_Dalar/Ink&Dust.jpg)
Working on pt. 2 of 8 (?) and only the last one shall decide the final style of the work, more in the next days...
(Sims 2 got pause and Assassin's Creed has been finished...could it be possible that the PC is going to be mine again and not only a colony of strange talking AIs? ...let's discover :P )
Edit:
Maybe a Note is Needed: Actually On the map the only things displayed with names are the rooms and places that actually have a sign written in game on a plaque or similar, no more will be added to the standard map
@pavloscat: will edit the image as soon as Possible and upload it at the same link, thanks for the note, I missed that 'cause of making much on memory and I don't always read again things

This map is impressive. I can't wait to play this FM again with maps!! With my horrid sense of direction, these will be greatly appreciated! One tiny, little thing, though. Rocksbourg is misspelled. Drop the "h" on the end. ;)
Great work! :thumb:

Great map, keep going taffer ! :thumb:
And the code number is 6143 or 6134, can't remember precisely. There is a riddle which gives you hints in a scroll in front of the code panel, about how to find them and the order to put them.

Hello people.
I have to ask again about the book of names-thing.
I also took it to thasel (or however he was called) and the goal didn't tick off. Nothing happened. Tried blackjacking noone in south star and also tried hundreds of different ways. Put it on the table and everywhere elso before he finished talking. Nothing. Don't have any EP installed. Tried a savegame earlier (still in the dark zone....uuuuh.... the second time i had to mute, it was just too scary).
I have both of the scripts installed, which means, i just copied the files into the thief-2-directory (anything else to do with them?)
Nothing worked. This is really bothering me. I just want to finish this great mission. So, does anyone have another idea? Or can I somehow avoid having to complete this goal and still end the mission?
Nevertheless, it is a really fascinating mission and it is unbelievable what you, DrK, and every one of you guys is getting out of DromEd.
APPLAUSE, EVERYONE *clack* *clack* *clack*

:weird: ^ well, i had & have that problem, but it is a little bug compared with this beutifullFm, :thumb:
i think the brother thasel was drunk and used the book for clean somethings in a dirty room, after kiling a little creature in his lost and dirty room :laff:
