where is the dark shadow in the dark zone?
and how do I get through the dark maze without being killed by the alien beasts?
it takes too long
ive managed to pull one of the levers though!
Oh and mission pax excellence Drk as always... the huge library in the beginning is a true delight and so picturesque...
its just the dark zone thats utterly stupid!
so i finally managed to pull all the levers and get to have the dark shadow
but I cant figure how to escape the last supernatural being that somehow pulverizes me in the end!

Just reload, nab that gem, slide down the ladder, and run your ass off to make it through the zone. Thats all you can do.

Thank you, DrK for a superb mission. I loved part I of the story, and enjoyed part 2, but this one was absolutely stellar! The story you are weaving is so interesting and the mission was a great challenge. I can't wait for part 4.
Merci,

Hi,
I feel a little lame. I still have issues with this mission. I installed Telliamed's scripts tnhScript.osm and version.osm, and Gaylesaver's scripts script.osm and darkhooks.dlx. I copied them directly into the Thief 2 directory.
The problem is that the game is constantly crashing. I'm running XP (just donwgraded from Vista). Help?
thanks,
Verak

the only way i managed to get out from that being was by adjustin my gamma to the brightest!
but now in the end of the mission the book of names objective wont tick off!
is there a way to fix this bug at all...
:laff:

I don't think so. I hit me as well, but apparently we're not missing much by getting to the final portal.
I agree about the dark zone - I had to crank my gamma all the way up to follow the code hints. Lovely mission.

The sounds alone in the dark zone were enough to give anyone the hee bee gebee's!

Very strange. I think I did almost the same (install XP, although nos as a downgrade from Vista; install the necessary scripts), but was able to play through the mission with no crashes.
Is it just this mission, or have you found other missions which crash as well? What about the original
Thief 2 missions - do these crash, too?
Is there anything special which happens before the crashes? Do the crashes happen in particular places only?

Finally able to answer back !
Thanks all for the compliments :)
Verak :
Sorry but it doesn't come the mission itself, it's from your install. I think it comes from the fact you have XP, there are many threads about issues with OS.
Otherwise, do you have any kind of custom pack installed to improve Thief 2's graphics ? Like NV's enhancement pack ? You must make sure your install is clean before to play my mission.
Orfeus :
Sorry for the trouble, but no solution for the book bug... Shit happens :(
Ian :
The key room is in the north star, head for the north-west, it's nearby the water aera.
Now a little thing about 4th part. My laptop died a few days ago (happy new year...). This is my work station, be it for my job or dromed. Hopefully, I often save my work on other hard drives, therefore I didn't lose anything from the mission. But I won't be able to continue working on 4th part until I have a new laptop, which I should have in the end of january or so. That's all.
