Thanks. Somehow I had managed to *totally* miss the kitchen in north star.

So now I have Thesal's key and I try to unlock the control panel of the second cage but it doesn't work (it's the lock in the room with the bed, right?). The instructions state that Thesal's key must be used. Where's the control panel?

What are you trying to do actually ? To open the dark zone ?
To do so you must enter a little room nearby, room of the pipes/gauges/something the like, where you switch a big lever. Then in the room with the cages, in the first cage there is a trap on the wall where you use TAHSEL's key. Then in the second cage you use the Key of darkness, to be created in the room of the keys.
Which keys do you have in your inventory ?

It's obvious now, I just got confused with those names. Thesal's key hasn't disappeared after I used it once, so there must be another door somewhere. I'll figure it out. I already got all of the elemental keys, with only the key of darkness unused. Are there any items/loot in the water room? That's the only room where I didn't find anything.

A few things floating around in the water, furnitures but also 1 or 2 pieces of loot.

Did you check the file size? It should be 160.9MB (168803063 bytes).

Recently just played through all three in a row for the first time, and I honestly have to say that was a good experience. I was mostly lost in the first, but as I kept on I managed to pull through all three.
The part right after taking the cellar key was a huge surprise, never expected that to happen. But upon seeing the rusted, bloodstained walls, the tall ceiling, gratings and surrounding darkness, it felt like Silent Hill all over again.
The sewer sections in the second were pretty atmospheric. It was very creepy to tread around, even though there wasn't exactly a huge number of enemies actually there. The sounds alone really add tension, especially that laughing in the distance.
The third deffinitely did it for me, the whole Dark Zone was excellent and was a terrifying experience. The Silent Hill vibes were everywhere and I loved it, I honestly took a lot of time trying to get through each part. The last segment especially; that was an absolute scare. Never have I felt the need to escape so quickly in any other horror orientated game or user level. That was excellent.
The use of music from the Silent Hill games fit extremely well, those tracks really add to the mood and ambience. You did a great job fitting them in. The experience was also complete with the fact Thief is set in first person. Unlike Silent Hill or Resident Evil, you're immersed within the world itself in first person and never know what could be creeping up behind you.
Great experience, I really enjoyed it. Really looking forward to more. A full review of each FM will eventually be available on my site at one point. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for your comments, glad you enjoyed them. What is your site ? I may keep an eye on it for the full reviews.
On a side note, yesterday I quickly replayed the first mission. I went so far with Rocksbourg 3, and even further with Rocksbourg 4, that I found it horrible to look at ! :wot:
I still love the design, forgot about some details I built at places, somehow I rediscovered it. But god the texture work is so weak, so many lil mistakes here and there, what the hell was I thinking !? :laff:
If I ever try to create gold versions of my first missions (and for now it's not likely to happen), there would be tons of work to do...
