@Mook
The manor lord is marked as "Manor lord", but unfortunately the torture guard is not marked in any special way. He is the guy -- how surprising -- that tortures Mr. Oh Dear in the torture room, so check the bodys close to there first. The "thinking tank" is a hole in the ground with a trapdoor, just across from the torture room.
Edit: never mind, found the trail again as soon as I posted.

Mook
Occasionally in Thief when an AI is teleported out, they may stop in a random location on their way to the destination. Don't worry about the girl behind the fence.

What I want to know is, what happened to the john9818a that brought us
Bafford's Last Stand and
Undead Reckoning??
Sorry but I am just not feeling this FM at all. I don't find it amusing -- its just nasty and peurile.
To be honest with you, I don't think anything you have made since
Bafford's has even reached the level of that milestone. I'm not talking about technical details -- those have only improved to my eyes. I am just talking about overall "fun factor" and the theiving/adventuring experience.
I thought
Living Nightmare was the start of a comeback but now we have this FM which just causes me to scratch my head.
I must have missed this post earlier. I know there's some people that didn't like it. It's very hard to please everyone. If you were walking down the street and you saw a dog poo in a yard, and a zombie walking toward you, which would you find more disturbing?
If anything I hope you at least benefit from knowing the story itself regardless of what the servant's problem is. :)

Now, where is the cesspool?
john9818a on 9/9/2006 at 19:26
When in the basement go to the sewer collection room, which is a circular room with crap falling into it. The first hallway to your right will take you to the cesspool. The next hallway would take you there, but the door it leads you to is locked. There is some hidden loot near the door. :)
I found a switch in Aliana's room that doesn't seem to do anything. Does it have a purpose or is it just there? I've not noticed any sound of a door opening anywhere after I flip it. I'm at the point where I've done everything except for finding out the identities of the manor lord and his wife and dropping them in the cesspool. I've also been all over the map and can't find any other areas where they might be. I'm hoping that there's a secret I've missed somewhere.
Mook on 9/9/2006 at 23:26
Ok, I just figured out what the switch was for. I didn't realize that it was for the camera out in the hallway. But I'm still stuck as to where to find the manor lord and his cheesy, scummy wife.
I must say that I would hate to be in Mr. Oh Dear's shoes. That poor little bastard can't even kill himself since they gave him the immunity potion. I think a good mission would be one where you are hired by Mr. Oh Dear to kill all of the people who tormented him over the years. It would be a multi-part mission with a different part for each tormenter. You would have to kill them in different ways depending on how they had tortured Mr. Oh Dear throughout his pathetic life. You could really get some creative deaths that way and Mr. Oh Dear would finally get the revenge that he so rightly deserves.

Mook, after flipping the switch, did you check the security cameras outside? BTW, there is a second switch in the other wing of the mansion, in the room where a guard is looking outside the window.
To find the identity, you should search the servants bedrooms.
