It's definitely not easy! It's the toughest at the beginning. Once you get your equipment from the armoury, things ease up a bit. :)
...but what is the combination to the safe in the guard house? 6-3-2-6 doesn't work, and that's what I thought it was:
1.# of mechanical devices in courtyard: 6 (1 Child+3 cameras+2 turrets)
2.# of those that are cameras: 3
3.# of prisoners wrongly imprisoned: 2? There are 2 prisoners, but I also tried 0 in case it was a trick question and that didn't work either
4.#of cells divided by 2 (12/2=6)
Bleh, hate getting stuck on something like this. :p But what a fantastic mission!! First Durant, now this. I am getting spoiled.
(By the way Nightwalker, you're sure right about that...I was so happy to see those weapons I could have jumped up and down for joy if LGS hadn't given me such loud shoes!) ;)

LOL! I felt the same way, the first time I finally made it into that armoury and saw all the goodies waiting! You don't realize how tense you've been up until that point until then. :joke:
As for the vault combination, that fools everyone. It's
5306 - Don't count the robot in the yard for the first digit. You were right when you tried the "0" of course. The people who run the prison wouldn't think that any of the prisoners are innocent. :)
You know, that crossed my mind, but I must have done
5326 and then forgotten to try it with the "0". Grr!
Well, thanks a lot! :)

I'm really early in this level to be asking for help, but I've noticed now two places that are inaccesable without a rope/vine arrow. Now either I come back to these areas later when I acquire the proper arrows, or I've missed a stash along the way.
One of the first objectives is to get some weapons from the sewers. I thought I did that when I killed the large spider and picked up the sword and key. But the objective didn't trigger, which makes me question whether I missed something. There is an area high up just inside the gate to the sewer. A note hints that I should get up there for some goodies. But I can't. Later on, in the tavern, there is an upstairs area, again inaccesable without climbing abilities.
Am I supposed to come back to these areas later, or did I miss something.

You missed seeing some rope arrows. In the room with the note on the table, there should be rope arrows on the table by the note. Once you climb up in the rafters in that room, you'll realize why the "find your weapons" objective didn't trigger.
There is an alternate way up into the upper floor of the Tavern, though. Go out the back door and you'll find a nice big pile of boxes to climb up. It's actually a better way in than rope arrowing up through the hole in the floor. :)

Oh, yes. That's much better. Actually, I found the other way to the second floor of the tavern right after I posted the message :)
But before I continue on with whatever lies ahead, I'll backtrack a bit to the sewers. Call me anal (most do) but I like to complete objectives in the order they're given.

Might as well just continue with this thread :)
I've gone a lot deeper into the level now, but not at the ship yet. There's an objective I'm trying to fulfill before I head to the Lower city. I have to knock out the Captain and take him back to the Smuggler's house. Now isn't the Captain one of the two people locked up in the prison? One was female, the other male. The other possibility was that he was the guy strapped up in the torture chamber.
The other question is....Is the smuggler's home where you start the level? And do you have to take him just inside the door, or continue right upstairs. This is important because I picked the male prisoner as the Captain and had a very difficult time sneaking him past the guards. But when I dropped him just inside and made a dash for safety, the objective didn't trigger. So I had to sneak in again and again, dropping him in different rooms. Got as far as upstairs with no successful objective triggered.
So, have I got the wrong guy ??
Nightwalker on 29/8/2002 at 22:20
He's the unconcious fellow down in the torture room. I don't think it matters where you put him in the house, though I'm not sure about that. :)

OK...that's done.
Now, which of those guys in the ship is the Captain ?
I'm thinking it's the guy with the lantern, but my second choice is the drunk.
