After having spent 11 hours in this mission once, I can say with great certainty that the above spoilers are correct. If you can't find the switch
it's the same type as the one you used to get into the room you're in.
Like I always say: "If you can't use YOUR head, use someone else's." :laff:

Diana 50322, I just recently finished playing that fine mission. That's a funny hint!:laff:

I just played this one a little while ago. It's the Art of Thievery guy, eh? They are both really good, but Smuggler's is my favourite of the two. Damn, he's good.

where is information the capita give to his torturers /combination to ships lock/

The information you are looking for is
in the Torture room area. Have you found it yet? You need to go out the door from the vault room that leads to a hallway with a set of steps that go down. Across the hall, there's another door. Go through there and you'll eventually come to a room with an elevator that goes down to a level where there are more jail cells. Walk all the way to the far end, where there is an archer standing in front of a locked door. On the left, there is a storage room with some wood ceiling beams. Rope arrow up into the ceiling beams and look for a hole to crawl through. You'll end up above the torture room. Climb down and look for a gate that you can open. Go through, follow the hallway to an office and the man in the office is wearing a scroll. That is the instructions on how to work the ship's locks.
I have a new problem in Smugglers Request. I solved the old one but now I need help. I'm playing on hard. I need to get the 2 keys for in the jail, the cell & lift key, and the general Guardhouse key that opens the weapons room. I've been reading the past posts on this mission, and I read about the bedroom they are in. I even got into the bedroom, but to do it I had to go into the jail cell room, open the cells, get caught in the trap, pick the window open and walk the ledges and eventually jump to a balcony that brought me into the bedroom. The problem is while doing all that I set off every alarm system there is, I have all the guards looking for me. A lot have found me and I have managed to knock them out before they kill me but I've taken so much damage that I used all my healing potions and most of my food. And the alarm is still ringing and they are still looking for me.
So my question: Is there any other way into that bedroom than the route I took? If there is, I want a spoiler, not a hint, please. If there is not, then is it possible to do it without setting off every alarm and almost getting killed? Finally, is there any way to shut off that blasted alarm. Sorry for all the questions but I'm very frustrated right now.
Nevertheless, I do want to say that I have been enjoying this mission, but now I need help please.

That's the only way in, but it IS possible to do it without setting of any alarms or alerting anyone. You have to sneak along that ledge very carefully and keep an eye on all the cameras that are in range. It takes patience and probably several reloads. What I would suggest is climbing down from the jail window and saving, then everytime you make your way a bit farther along to a safe spot in shadow, save, so you don't have to start from the beginning if you mess up. Partway along the ledge, there's a window you can pick open and climb into. Inside there are controls that will shut off the watchers and turrets. I don't know if they shut off the actual alarms or not, though. If they do, then you only have to go back that far, shut them off and wait for everyone to settle down.

Thank you very much Nightwalker. Once again, you have saved the day. :)
I have retrieved all my weapons from the weapons room and I now have a rather strange thing occurring. When I shoot a water arrow I can go retrieve it, like a broadhead. I thought this was great at first, but then I realized it's not, because what it means is the arrow's not breaking and therefore not splattering. There's no splash effect. Unless I can hit the torch I'm trying to extinguish dead on, it doesn't go out. I'm finding this is almost impossible to do from any kind of distance. Have you heard of this happening to anyone else, and is there any way to fix it? I hope so. :(
