You'll find the study area a bit more interesting in due course. :)

OK, I went in there again and found that I had a missed a large chest in plain sight (just a white gem in it). :erg:
I need more help. I can walk around the
roofs around the cloister. That helps me...how?

In due course means quite a bit later.
Have you found the gold serpent yet?

In due course means
quite a bit later. Yeah, I figured as much.
I snooped around the study a bit more. Can't find any hidden switches,
and the unfrobbable door didn't respond to a mine exploding next to it. So I think the gold serpent isn't there, and I need to reach some other place from the roofs here (or find a place to use the gargoyle statue, whichever comes first)Quote Posted by nickie
Have you found
the gold serpent yet? EDIT: Yes, now I have! It was indeed possible to mantle up to a windowsill I had tried ~5 times before and failed. (I play on a quite dark setting, and I hadn't seen that a wooden pole had been in the way on my previous mantling attempts...)

Come to think of it though I think I've been leading you astray and you've got what you need from there. I'd forgotten the gargoyle could be picked up straight away. The door opens from the other side.

Thanks for the help. Finished the mission now. Quite a number of unexpected turns. But I fully expected the Guardians to fight the undead (corrupted) monks and was a bit disappointed that it didn't happen that way. I was also suprised that the two combat bots had been totally pwned by the monks. Would have expected them to put up a better fight...
Geez, I found only 76% loot and half the secrets. Time for a loothunting replay soon.
BTW, I appreciated a rather difficult loot goal, though. So often, I meet loot goals when I have seen about half a mission. Now I got past the required amount with just 100 gold, in the last area that was new to me (the maze attic room with the well key).

Awesome mission as always. I'm short 1050 loot and only found 3 secrets. Probably should have tried to find them before the end. :(
First mission of the 4 so far in this series that I actually completed everything without any help.

Just go to the tomb and use the candle on the plate. The hint for this was in the mission start-up screen.
The tomb is next to the graveyard, close to the building with the broken staircase. Check PM.
Hi!
I'm experiencing the same problem as Shadow: can't go back to the past, stuck in Valfar's tomb. I'm using the new 1.19 version.
I really enjoy this mission, don't want to give it up so close to the finish ;).
Thanks in advance.

I can't remember what Shadow's problem was (it's been a year after all). Please explain what exactly is going on.
If we can't solve it I'll ask for your save game and take a look at it.

I stepped through the portal to be sent back to the past, but after a split second I am stuck in Valfar's tomb, can't move or access weapons or gear.
