I used one of the codes (0721) that I found on a scroll on the electric gate thing and I hear a clunk but nothing happens that I can see What am I missing?
I am dealing with the same issue. Any workarounds?

The
lantern bonus can be completed by gently placing the lantern next to any of the crystals.I'd already converted them, but hadn't gone back to the
apartment above the pub yet; putting the
lantern next to those didn't do anything, but going back revealed
the scientist's body was gone!
Never did find the use for
lost coins, but I did get
13/23 secrets!

Do you have NV Scripts installed in your Thief2 folder? I just performed a test by removing those scripts, and when I typed in the code nothing happened other than the clunk.

If there is a certain order for the beam to work then I fobbed the valve then turned it on. Once turned the valve doesn't turn back. I might have to go way back in my saved games and work through it again.I thought I put in the right code because I heard a clunk. I've tried it a few times and the same clunk but the particle wall still kills me. The code I'm using is (0721)I'm thinking that this issue might be related to not having NV Scripts installed as well. NV Scripts need to be installed in your Thief2 folder as well as Public scripts. I'll see if I can post links to both on the first post of this thread.

So having them or not produces the same result?
Do you mean I should have them installed for the code to work? If yes how do I find and install them? Shouldn't those scripts be part of the mission package?

I put links to the scripts in the first post. Just unzip them to your Thief 2 folder. :) Not having them causes the problem, but having them allows the process to work correctly.

Thank you very much for this highly enjoyable mission, John. I appreciate your effort and time you've dedicated to your new creation.
Pros:
+ The mission is large, with many interesting and well-designed places to go, but it has never felt overly confusing on my playthrough.
+ Reasonable loot placement and secrets that encourage exploration.
+ Each location has its unique atmosphere. Overall, I've found the the mission very relaxing.
+ Concise and informative readables. No unnecessary or boring ramblings.
+ Good sound design. As a bonus, I loved the ambient loop playing in the tavern.
Cons:
- I could not help but notice errors in the objectives screen - unnecessary spaces and no full stops after each goal. I had to correct this issue manually by editing the relevant text file. Perhaps this was omitted by beta testers, but it's always good to remember to double-check the objectives screen, as typos and layout errors can create a bad first impression to some players.
- I believe that Garrett's apartment should be locked with a key. It felt weird that I could just enter his home from the street.
- Two or three ladders were too long and instead of mantling smoothly the surface, I kept falling down and losing HP.
- It took me a while to find Bafford's safe. A bit frustrating, but maybe I wasn't paying enough attention to the readables.
I rated your mission 9/10 on Thief Guild. Well done!

Try making sure you have the NV scrips unzipped into your main Thief II folder. That's what made things function properly.
