I didn't have any technical issues with the mission, at least none that I was aware of. Have you tried doing what you are supposed to do with the crystal more than once?

congrats to this fm.
very nice city mission, although it seems to me, that same passages i knew from other missions.
i wasn't able to collect 6000 loot, but all other aims i could manage.
there is one thing, which disturbs me.
the map of the mission could be more detailed

is there a key for the bafford's guard entrance?
Oh:
It's somewhere inside the guard room.Mixa:

Was the luminous rat in the City Watch who had swallowed the crystal supposed to do anything? He didn’t for me, and eventually he snagged himself on a table leg so he stopped patrolling.
If it sees you, it runs and rats you out to the patrolling guard. However, it can't
run faster than an arrow!

Well, that was quite a ride (on Expert). I eventually made it to 19 secrets and 9,396 loot before succumbing to exhaustion.
The Truart code clue baffled me for a long time. I thought all those digits, two keypads and the presence of an archery target nearby meant I had to enter the first set of numbers in the further keypad using arrows. Also, the digits appeared as cell numbers in the basement, and one of those cells had two rectangles in the ceiling that looked like buttons but didn't do anything. The simpler explanation occurred to me only after much trial and error.
I didn't get the references to Fett or to Pile O'Bones.
I activated an optional goal about the
lantern, but only by climbing out of the map and pressing a button. I didn't manage to do it properly.

Is there a secret in the City Watch near the portrait of the sorceress and the column of smoke up in the dome above her? I couldn't find one there.
I didn't like the invisible walls, but otherwise thanks for a great mission!
There are two places that have clues for the keypad:
Lt. Hagen's office and the jail cell numbers on the ground floor.Fett was a well known member here at TTLG, and he passed away earlier this year I believe. The Pile O'Bones is actually the name of the object that looks like a bunch of bones on the floor. I guess it didn't really make sense to make a reference to it since most players have not seen the object hierarchy in dromed.
The luminous rat does nothing more than be a rat except that it can open doors. Sometimes the rats do get stuck on something. :)
In the room with the portrait of the sorceress, no there is no secret there.
The invisible walls were used to keep players from accessing areas that had nothing in them. I didn't do a very good job though. :o
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my mission.

Thank you! I'll try to do better on maps in the future. This map was used on Jenevere De Ja Vu as well as Love Story and Love Story 2 Part 1.

I managed to tick off the loot objective and the first objective but still can't get the particle beam thing to work on the crystals. I placed the new valve onto the machine and set it and flipped the switch to on. There's a blue particle beam but it doesn't change the crystals as far as I can tell. Not sure if I forgot something.
Also, I've tried the code on the particle gate at the station but it doesn't turn off. I've left if and explored for an hour but it's still on. Clues?

use it!

the code on the particle gateAre you sure that the code is correct? You should hear the distinctive metal sound after the valid code is entered. And then, after a few seconds, the barrier will disappear. Maybe you have quick-save-loaded immediately after the code entering? Try just to rush through the barrier, maybe that is some glitch...

beam could still be going is if you entered the wrong code. Occasionally the emitter that is supposed to be defective would still emit after the code is entered but it didn't affect anything.
As far as the
valve is concerned, you need to frob it after pulling the lever.

Thank you John!
It’s a big mission with some clever effects and interesting objective. I can see a lot of hard work went into making it. I liked the glowing rat that I assume had eaten some radiated material. Playing on normal I got a modest 6845/10696 loot and 9/23 secrets so there’s plenty to go back for. I know there’s at least one safe that I didn’t get open.
Very nicely done. Thank you again. :thumb:

Thank you Aged Raver! :) I think I have spent about 3-4 years on this mission, though some of that time was just running around and living in the "city" to see what needs to be done. Every time I play my mission I have trouble finding all of the loot. :o I'll start working on a loot list tomorrow.

If there is a certain order for the beam to work then I fobbed the valve then turned it on. Once turned the valve doesn't turn back. I might have to go way back in my saved games and work through it again.I thought I put in the right code because I heard a clunk. I've tried it a few times and the same clunk but the particle wall still kills me. The code I'm using is (0721)
