This is a common scripting issue with most of Haplo's missions, usually patching with the latest T2Fix solves the problem (1.27c definitely works and later ones should also work), alternatively download a fixed version from Darkfate here (
https://darkfate.org/view/details/files/fan-missions/thief2/among_two_storms) this version has the latest script installed already.

Thanks! That worked. The previous version also worked when I made a copy of "NVScript.osm" in the OSM folder of Thief 2 and named it "NVS.osm" so it was purely a script version issue I guess.
