:D It's official, Slyfoxx makes some of the best city missions! :thumb: They always look natural, and they're the only city missions I'm guaranteed to like. My evil NVIDIA video card made it a little hard to see, but I didn't mind. :)
However, I was unable to finish because the previously mentioned card, with 128 megs of video memory, started spitting out insanely low framerates. :( The game became extremely unstable afterwards, so I wasn't able to run Fraps (or quick-save, 50% of the time) without it crashing.
The framerate immediately took a dive about when I arrived in the area of the police station, and stayed in a semi-playable area, probably about 15 fps, until I had knocked out everyone I could, aside from a few zombies and prisoners, who I left alone. Once I had Basso, and I was on my way out, my framerate had to have been down in the single digits. I got as far as the river, but I couldn't fire the rope arrows properly, so I called it quits for the day. :(
Slyfoxx, if you want, I can test the mission some more, and see if I can narrow down what might be triggering it. Or, if you have some ideas on how to fix things, I'd be more than happy to do some testing. :) Just as long as you can share where you found those yummy worn wooden textures, and whether I can borrow them or not. ;)
Edit: ah ha, they're Vigil's. :D Scratch that.

...loved the look of it! Now, I decided to enter the actual prison in a more creative way -- anyone else try this?
Down the chimney in the far corner of the courtyard opposite the gallows! Nearly died doing it, and alerted the nearest guard besides, but he calmed down and went away, and with all the food I brought collected in the mission up to that point plus what I found there, I got myself back up to reasonable health soon enough. :thumb:
BTW, Sly, did you do a slight reduction on the healing properties of the food? :sly: :sly: :sly: It's all not like the "fruits", of course, but it seemed I needed more than usual to get mostly healed...
I brought the blackjack and the 4 water arrows, but I'll try it again with nothing extra... :)

Very clever mission! Great replay value! I took turns with my better half to play it, she found things I often overlook or simply don't usually find!
GREAT mission Slyfoxx!
P.S. Get to work right now and make more good FMs! ;)

I experienced quite a few crashes with this mission, especially after picking up Basso and making some quick loads. Is there a problem with newdark and this mission that would cause crashing?

I wouldn't think so but you never know. It's a VERY simple mission design wise. Nothing using scripted events or anything dromed "Rube Goldburg" related. Sorry you're having trouble.:(
