Thanks Sly. It only crashed a few times when trying to do a quick load after picking up Basso. If I hadn't have done the quick loads it might not have crashed at all. I don't usually experience any crashes with other missions. Still, I really enjoy playing Friend in Need. It's a very cool mission.

Sly, just checked out some YouTube videos of you singing. Man, you can sing. So cool hearing Garrett sing some Eagle tunes. You've got a damn good singing voice.

Thanks cav. I do what I can. When I was young I never thought I could sing well despite liking too. A college music professor who I really respected told me I could sing and to keep at it. (the guy could play any instrument you handed him and read music better than we read a book) So I spent my late teens and early twenties singing in the car to old Pink Floyd, Queen and Judas Priest tapes until I got a bit of game. Did my first solo acoustic gig at this beef-n-beer place at the local mall at 22. (I'm 48 now) I've played semi-pro my whole adult life. There's nothing like a good live performance to get the blood pumpin'.

Hi everyone! I am also having low frame rates but most importantly, crashes while loading either quick or hard saves. But I wonder if it has to do with precisely this FM or if the culprit is the one I played just before I start this one. The fm I played before was "what have you found little fly" which also had lags, crashes and corrupted quick saves. Is it possible that I have corrupted yet again my installations? Or was I just unlucky with fms twice in a row ? I really really hope is the latter. I use the latest AngelLoader and I had a clean reinstallation of everything just a week or so ago.

I'm not experiencing any loss of framerate nor any CTD's.

Try downloading a new zip and check that out, sometimes that solves localised issues.

@nightchild: did you manage to solve the problem? I have similar one and in the same two missions you mentioned (I played Little fly a year ago). This time I decided to play A friend in need, downloaded it from Thiefmissions. I had a hard and quick save at the part where two guards patrol behind city gate, where there is a big crate, from where you jump to upper part of the metal floor building with sewer hatch. My quick save just got corrupted when reaching upper floor and saving inside. I didn't however encounter any significant loss of frame rates. I use ND 1.27d with no mods, mission was loaded with Newdarkloader and until that part everything worked fine.

Have you got a save before you experienced any issues? I've just replayed it again and spent an hour saving and loading in the water tank room and surrounding areas, killed all the guards in various ways and no had problems with saving or loading. Without something more specific there's not a lot we can go on I'm afraid.
