T2 FM: "Acquiring New Ventures" - 15 August 2025 -- *UPDATED TO v1.2* - by Kubrick

Good idea. After four replays I found 5622/5642, but there seem to be no way to locate the missing 20. It could be outside the game area or otherwise unreachable, as is sometimes happens in other FMs as well(?).
A few more tricky items:
- museum: a statuette on the atrium floor, NE corner (blends with the floor patterns)
- locker room, a coinstack in the second locker
- city: pub, wine under the shelf next to the fireplace (hardly visible)
- boarding house, ring under the elevator
- mansion: goblet under the dumbwaiter
Only good missions deserve a complete lootlist...

Ditto. On the easiest difficulty I'm
20 short of max loot, also.
Thanks to you I backtracked to a Save I took just before of the end of Section 1 and found another 40, bringing the first part total to
1020. Then continuing from where I was already in Section 2 (
https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=153066&page=8&p=2529642&viewfull=1#post2529642) with luck the Complete Mission total got up to
5582/5642.
So allowing for that belated 40 in Section 1, it seems I still have
20 unaccounted for.
This is where I'd normally refer to a meticulous Fortuni Lootlist looking at items worth the missing amount or items that added up to it.
What might that be? Some coins, a purse? I tried to lure down the female guard in the lookout tower in section 1 but I can't see a purse on her belt, and if she has loot on the floor I can't get up there.

This makes us two obsessive loot hunters, both "aged" (btw I'm 78).
Unfortunately fortuni has retired, and nobody is going to take over his place...

I also came up 20 short on loot. I looked up the loot in Dromed and found two items worth 10 per item.
They are in a display case in the museum, a collection plate and a ornamental plate. They are not frobable. That means they will not highlight so you can't pick them up.

Ah well done. :thumb:
That’s good news. I was becoming a Zombie, destined to walk all parts of the City forever.
I assume you can’t frob them after burning the cabinet with a torch arrow.
I burnt several cabinets with the sword or arrow in version 1 and could not not find anything frobbable.

I just burned through the
display case the two items fell on the floor and were not frobable.

With all loot accounted for, if I understand correctly, this sort-of confirms that the maximum loot one can find in Section 1 is 1020 at any level.
Something that's been bothering me for a long time is that the loot objective on Maestro is 1200 for Section 1.
Anyone striving for that objective before moving on will go round forever.
Only the two lesser levels can achieve their Loot goal in Section 1.

I finished it on Maestro, took about 4 hours even on the already familiar terrain.
It's still an attrative FM, and it could be even better if the "found secret" messages (and those last loot pieces) could be fixed...
Aged: the loot objective on Maestro cannot be completed, but it does not prevent us from continuing:D

I confess I often play in Normal difficulty, and if I achieve the loot goal I then look at the higher level loot goals and try to achieve them, while still in Normal mode (assuming the extra loot is not exclusive to higher difficulties only). So, even though I was not playing in Maestro, it was challenging in Section 1 looking for extra loot that wasn’t there. :tsktsk:
But I thoroughly agree. Excellent mission.
And well done legitimately finishing in Maestro. :thumb:
