Sorry, I misread that. I meant the fire arrows in another part - not Keywell...

I've sent PMs to Melan several times, but after reading this thread and the many posts, I figured out what I did. I believe that certain areas should have remained off limits until the new objectives were added. I went through many places, and got a total of 3335 loot. Probably missed something major. I broke the game myself where the landlord area was. I climbed up a torch upstairs and onto the walls and behind.
I can't remember too many doors that I couldn't open, but one in particular was in the basement area of the usurer's house.
I actually love climbing all over the place and getting into little nooks and crannies.
I don't think I would have thought about the objective with the armourer and where to place it. In fact, when it says authorities, I went to the city watch area and tried dropping the item there. Don't feel like spoils, so I'm not mentioning too much.
I thought the map was extremely confusing, at least until I got some bearings and figured out places. All the climbing threw me off.
Anyway, I did enjoy the mission and finished it with slight help here. I thought I did the armourer too soon and screwed things up.

Melan,
this FM is absolutly great, outstanding, breathtaking, stunning. The amount of "vertical" possibilities is unbelievable ! The atmosphere is really deep. :thumb:
I'm looking forward to your next work...
P.S.: Has anybody found the gas arrow ?? ;) :)

cardia1 : I was referring to the very page on which you posted, p4 of this thread, where your questions had already been answered. In fact, I had, in effect, answered half your question
2 posts above yours. :erg: Did you have a look before posting?

Things arent working well for me.
I went into armourers first and got his pagan book, then when I got the objective I put it in the Hammer's donation chute, but the objective won't check off, also I've got the Landlord's key, but I can't seem to use it anywhere. I tried on the lockbox near the gate near the beginning but that doesn't work. What do I do now?
Nevermind, got it.

Excellent, excellent mission! :thumb: :thumb:
It reminds me of a cross between the city in Assassins and the gameplay in The Haunted Cathedral (minus almost all the undead).
I have just spent 6 hours of glorious, taffing fun with this mission. I did need help with how to leave the area (the hint about which part of the city the key the cat stole can be found in) and what to do with the old sorcerer, but that was it.
As usual these days, I played with a pretty low gamma, so many things were hard to see. I had to brighten it up temporarily to find my way out of the coal cellar. :cheeky:
It took a long time for me to understand where I was on the map. Finding the Seeing Square was the key for that. I like the fact that this square is sort of a nexus between areas, both on ground level and up among the statues.
I finished 320 gold short of the maximum. When I look at the loot list, I think I recognize all those pieces. Maybe I have missed to re-collect something after a reload? Hmm, a replay while making my own loot list is tempting...
I loved the mine ambush in Timms´ place. It got me fair and square. Twice! The second time was hilarious, as I got exploded on my way out - I must have passed within an inch of exploding distance from that mine on the way in!
Like some other players, the many unfrobbable doors confused me. I saved a lot of times and blasted open those doors (with a mine or with the 'Divine Endowment' (is there a specific purpose for this explosive charge, anyway?)).
Loose ends I would like some answers to:
Is there a way to open the gate (with lockbox close to it) near the beginning?
The keeper glyphs were confusing to me. Beyond...Foundation (or something). I could not make anything out of that. Comments?
Speaking of keepers: is there a way to get into their abondoned place? What about the balcony with keeper windows in the other end of the alley? Any way up there?
The passage to Keeper Alley was protected by three mines. I could not find a way to get past them without blowing them up. Is there a way? Because I could sure have use for a couple of more mines...
There is a high building with an open window (the building has a ladder up to what looks like a small pagan hideout if you walk to the right and around it). The room behind the window has one of those 'astronomy' banners on the wall. Any way in there?
Looking at the heavily guarded nothern entrance to the usurer´s house, I saw two open windows on a building to the right. Anyway in there? Or could I already have been in there? (I don´t think I have)
Is there a way into the closed-off part of the city?
Is there a way into the alley by the thieves´hideout, where I see two crates lying around? I thought for sure I could get there by blowing up the door, but that was just a fake door with a wall behind it...
Is there any way into the sewers? I have seen two closed wells that look tempting.
I do not think so, but is there a way to open the large crate in 'Crazy Crate Guy´s hideout'?
