Bah, the first mission is the worst, what with mission fail screens coming up constantly from the "Don't let anyone know you are a Thief" objective. Jason said it was implemented correctly, but I say it wasn't :cheeky:. All I know is everyone must be psychic if they know I'm a thief (or that I, in particular, blackjacked them) when I've been waiting in complete shadow for fifteen minutes for them to pass by :laff:.
Why not just use the Thief Save Editor for the second and third missions? I also had problems with them (they are difficult as hell in places) and got fed up, but still wanted to see what happened, so I simply modified the amount of items and weapons I had :ebil:. Hey, worked for me.

Really? How do I use the Thief save editor? Please let me know, I was seriously about to delete this mission off my hard drive later on tonight. But if I could modify it somehow that would be great.

Does it really take more than two days to download this? Is something wrong with my system? I started downloading 11 hours ago and this morning there are still 16 hours to go?????

It's huge and if you're on dial-up, I suppose it could take that long. What a pain, though!

Rats! If we could just figure out how to use the DVD's we bought months ago. Calendra's Legacy is one of the missions on a disc. Have only had partial luck getting missions to "appear". Fortunately, there are plenty of others to download and they are so great!!!!!! Best games around and they are FREE!

Originally posted by Nightwalker I believe the mission pack was broken up into smaller pieces to make it easier for people with dial-up to download it. The full pack is so big that it's easy to get disconnected, get errors, etc. This way, they can just download the section that needs to be replaced, rather than tie up their phone lines for another 12 hours or whatever. In theory it would also be faster (do like 2 parts at a time) but Jason's site restricts it to 1 download at a time.

Not a question, just WOW.
Just finished CC and started CL. So I think I'm cool, ghosting along nicely 'cept I keep stopping to just look and listen. Incredible ambiance, I keep stopping and looking and smiling. I feel like I just got a new game to play!
I can stop any time I want! I can, really I can, I just don't wanna!

There has been much said about this three-part FM but, after playing just about everything out there, I just wanted to say that Calendra's Legacy, in my eyes, is an incredible masterpiece and has set the FM bar to a level that will probably never be surpassed. Wow!!!! And Lately there have been some incredible releases like Ominous Bequest, Rowena's Curse, Nepumuk (sp?), Torner Island..., and I fortunately, thanks to Jabberwocky, had the pleasure to play CL. Thanks to Purah for making such a fantastic adventure! :thumb:

I've played many T2 fan missions, and CL is very well done. My only gripes are that negotiating some of the obstacles with rope arrows was unnecessarily complicated, the water channels in mission 2 had too few exit points, and the objectives vague and difficult to achieve in mission 3.
At any rate, I admire any designer who can wrestle with DromEd, one of the most poorly designed game editors in the genre. Too bad there wasn't a DarkRadiant!
