It is possible to get into that end-game toilet by smashing the bench with your sword. It requires an overhead swing. I tried that out early on in the game just for fun. You can rope arrow down, but there isn't anything useful down there. The fallen lamp was not frobbable for me, at least if I went down there before you completing the other tasks.

Spent a long time trying to finish the last objective of finding out what sort of "business" the Mechanists were up to in the town but I got nowhere so on a hunch I went to the hole in the wall and jumped and the mission completed !

It's not a bad mission, but it is an unclear and confusing one at times. Just my opinion.

I'm having some trouble getting past a gate round the back of the mall. There's a thief guarding it and I cannot find a legitimate way past it at all. Can anyone provide a clue?

Though I'm sure I was not meant to do this, I was able to get past the gate by
leaning forward and frobbing the lever on the other sideAll in all had lots of fun with this mission. That loot count though is quite difficult

In the end I managed to get through the gate by cheesing it a little. I made some noise to lure the guard forward, then flashed him before he could close the gate behind him.
Very fun mission overall. I like the jokes littered throughout and not being able to knock absolutely everyone unconscious made a nice change from my usual style. It feels like it took forever to get to the 3000 loot requirement, though. I was grabbing everything not nailed down and found quite a few secrets, but didn't hit it until I was basically done with everything else, lol
