Garrett's Shadow on 17/11/2009 at 13:02
Hence the title!!
D'OH!
(great big D'oh!)
Good! Gonna take that walk with him! At the end of which will be one question for him:
"Can you swim"??? :sly: :ebil: :cheeky:
(of course I will kill Fletcher - but with a sword - underlings don't deserve anymore time spent on them than that. It's the one who ordered it and chose the method who shall suffer that order and by that method!)
EDIT: Ah, I see, SOB did as he said in that diary. Took the 8 o'clock outta town!
(well as they say in Thief "Only delaying the inevitable!", and "I can wait, I can wait"!!)
Sly, that room in that jump screenie you posted above, is a mask all that is there?
-----------------------------------------------------
OK! done! Was very fun Sly! Love all the forum member refs.!
And our Tomi will be glad to know I did'nt kill Dayport's Tomi!
But I did take him all the way to the water at the dock and put him down there with his head hanging over the very edge of the dock! And I dumped Fletcher right next to Tomi!
So, upon waking, the first thing he'll see is the water right below him, the second thing he'll see is
Fletcher's arrow riddled and sword slashed body, and if those two sights don't make him understand what happens to those who double cross Garret and what COULD HAVE happened to him, well then, there's always another day to make him sorry he did'nt learn! :sly:
SLY:
Almost forgot - most beautiful "armory" i have ever seen! so colorful and all those "souvenirs"!
(but I bet Gloria's going "What, he did'nt keep even ONE Dewdrop but he did keep THAT BLOODY HORN!?") :laff:

Augh! How do I get out of garrett's house?! :tsktsk:
EDIT: NVM, I found it. looked outside in that tiny backyard and found the itty-bitty switch! :p

Nice loot list. :thumb:
I think you and me miss the same piece as the author himself does.
With the help of the Trickster´s Loot Locator (
http://www.gnartsch.de/TTLL/TTLL.shtml) (TTLL), I have concluded that we all miss a particular gold nugget. I can´t really understand where it is, because I can´t seem to actually reach the general area it´s in.
You know Cooper Bartlett´s bedroom, and the tiny ring on his fireplace? According to TTLL, the missing nugget is located three cells east and one cell north of there. Or, you could also say 'three cells east of the fine wine bottle on his floor'. (A 'cell' in TTLG is about the size of a small room.) The nugget is about one story up along the Z-axis as well.
So, unless Mr. Bartlett has a secret passage leading from his bedroom or his library, we need to reach that place from somewhere else.
Let´s move to the upper floor apartments just N of the City Watch. Now we are on the same general level above ground as the missing nugget. From the middle one of these rooms (the one that has 3+1 little coins on and under the shelf there), we need to go three cells N and one cell E. Problem is, a wall is stopping us. And it´s not possible to travel on the rooftops either, because you hit the "ceiling" of the level if you try to do that.
Another possible way could be some sort of passage from close to the underground room where the tiara is. The missing nugget is 2 cells N, 3 cells E and 2 stories up from that tiara.
Is it possible to 'fly' through walls in DromEd? If so, someone DromEd savvy person could travel from any of the three positions I have described, so we could see what the area containing the nugget looks like, and maybe work backwards from there to understand how to get to it in-game. Or maybe just conclude that the nugget has been placed in an impossible-to-reach location?

The first time I tried this mission, I dropped it after like 5 minutes cause I was just not in the mood for it (killing someone and all). Now I wanted to replay "unfinished business" which I found awesome and remembered that I never really played the prequel of it. So I gave it a try again and damn it was really really good! :cheeky: Lots of secret places without even counting as secrets and lots of banners for cutting with lots of loot behind them! :D
Thank you very much for this nice fanmission slyfoxx! :)

A lot of things make this FM stand out from the others from the general architecture, array of hidden look to discover to one of the coolest Garret weapons rooms I've ever seen. I did get a bit frustrated by not being able to identify the name of the target by picking up knocked out people and I had to come here to get a hint on the Find Out For Sure objective.
Time Taken: 3hrs 5min
Loot: 5878/6170
Pockets Picked: 04/04

The weapons room was for sure me just being over the top silly. I also pictured Garrett having a real hide-out. Probably nicking water and power but keeping consumption low to avoid detection. None of this, "gotta steal 'cause the rent's due" nonsense!
