The store with blackjack in it can't be opened with key, it has to be lockpicked with triangle pick (which is located in the exact area you appear in). Key to the office can be found on guard's belt; you can find the right one on 3rd floor. Door to the compound can be opened by using the key of Master Tordum, the guy behind glass doors. Doors to the office and compound door can also be lockpicked when you have both lockpicks I'll consider making some changes to the mission, including adding a key to the store. Thank you!

Mikko, nice starter mission! I did find a buggy part in the hammer building upstairs (mid level). There is a table with (I think) a mirror and another non-loot item I can’t remember what it was. If either item is picked up, then put down again, the items just fall through the table and onto the floor. It’s not a big problem, but I’ve had it happen in other FMs. It must be some characteristic setting for the item.
I’m looking forward to see your next progression. Have fun with it. Glad to see another FM creator is born.

Thanks, bjack! I'll remember this issue for my future project(s). Gladly, I've received a lot of feedback from Thief's kind community to use it as a fuel for improvement as an author. I'll do my best to approach players' reports wisely and make significant progress in my next fm, which is already in early development process!

This is a nice first mission. Congrats on the new release Mikko! :) Honestly I thought that the ambient lighting was a little too bright, so I had to lower my gamma setting. It was no big deal though. When I dropped a hammer into the elevator shaft, I could hear it hit the ground but through a different path than the elevator shaft. There is probably a room brushing issue there in the elevator shaft. This was a good first try though because making & releasing a fan mission can be intimidating, but as long as players have fun than the FM is good. :)

Hey-ey and thanks for playing! At some point of development I added a lighting that was fitting my video settings (and successfully forgot about it), but since mine are set on low, many players had issues with brightness.
Possibly I'll release 1.3 version with minor tweaks, including ones you mentioned, even though, my main priority now is to make a vast jump in quality for my next mission.
Gotta admit, in the hindsight, I am quite dissatisfied with how my mission holds up againts other first entries we've seen recently

Nice little mission! There is only one negative thing I noticed or rather one thing that bothers me in the mission: The english language,- especially in the objectives. For example: "I have been given certain task" instead of " I have been given a certain task". "A", "The", etc. is missing in your objectives. Or "find out where are the pagans" instead of "find out where the pagans are". For future missions, it´d be good to let 1-2 other people proofread your texts.
But that´s only a minor thing and only my personal opinion, just pointing it out cause you were asking for opinions :)
It´s just a small mission, but I liked the story. As someone already mentioned it appears like a prologue to a bigger story.
I liked how you had to use a rope arrow and find your lockpicks. Often it´s annoying to the players though to have to find your blackjack first, so I´d give that one to the player from the start :)

Thanks for your helpful points, Samantha! In writing I always outwit myself. While trying to achieve rich, complicated text sctructure, grammar is just getting forgotten along the way (also, rewriting every single piece for 5-10 times creates a total mess). I am planning to have simpler, yet more reasonably constructed texts in my next mission.
If I succeed in tidying up my schedule, I'll release 1.3 version this very weekend with some critical enhancements. ;)

I don´t think you need to make the texts simpler, just let other people (at least 2) proofread your texts, then you won´t have any problems with grammar. 4 eyes see more than two, 6 even more, and so on... :D

Most likely, it is the last version since I am ready to get to work with the new mission that will, hopefully, be more competitive to other releases we had/are going to have this year. I learned a lot from this one :rolleyes:
