First thing I did was put my rope arrow to good use and proceeded to climb higher than intended.:cheeky:
Who needs rope when there are so many handy crates in this mission. :thumb:
(I'd post a screenshot, but I fell into the void behind the watch station soon after getting to the top of the wall...)
Has anyone been able to disable both of the security bots? I've only got two water arrows, so that's one. And the other guy doesn't go down even when I hit him with a mine
and the explosive device. Those fancy arrows are no good against metal, either. Only thing I could possibly do is somehow get the bots to shoot at each-other.
Two more things: You really should give Corrado a new shirt. That bloody stain on the back has got to be annoying. And get rid of that rusty sword.
I've gotten a SHAS a few times when jumping to the window outside the vaults. Maybe if the ledge were a little lower it'd be easier to get to.

What's a "SHAS"?
If you get those security bots to shoot at you while they're in a doorway, they'll blow themselves up. You shouldn't be letting them out anyway :p
Actually, I'll probably re-release this soon with the Italian translation and a few minor updates. One thing will be more water and rope arrows. If you lose that 1 rope arrow on hard/expert you're kinda in trouble.

SHAS = sudden heart attack syndrome
On occasion Garrett will just suddenly die for no apparent reason. I think it has something to do with colliding with the intersection of two brushes that dromed has not aligned properly. Nothing you did wrong. It's pretty obvious you know how to brush properly!;) When it happens the game will play the sound that you hear when Garrett falls too far so it has something to do with the engine thinking Garrett has fallen a long way.
That's one of two reasons (getting Garrett stuck to a wall is another) that I QS very often even when playing "Iron Man" style. I hate to lose all that progress because of an engine bug.:nono:

But I need their boilers to take a "Silent Project" screenshot. :cheeky:

Yah, I did that once. But it's still possible to finish the mission without it. In fact, I think I'll try playing the mission without using the rope.
Why more water, though? When playing normally, I didn't even use the two I had. What I'd really like is the starburst arrow to kill the bots. It bugs me that it's so useless (well, except for the zombie. But he's not there on "Hard")

It has something to do with sharp corners. I think Dark determines damage based on velocity and the "sharpness" of the terrain. But it sometimes miscalculates and sends the damage to infinity. Even though the corner in this case isn't very sharp, it's made of lots of sharp wedges which may be confusing the game. Like I said, if the ledge were ~0.25-0.5 lower, you would't hit it on the edge so much.

Speaking of which, head out of the apartment and walk straight up to the first fountain around the corner there. Get as close as you can, look into the wall, then lean forward. You should get stuck.

Really great work. Nice to play a daylight mission. Others, I think about never seem to get the shadows right. Congrats!

Help!
I used the explosive to enter the sewer but after that I'm coming in front of a frobinert door ...
That's strange
Nightwalker on 2/12/2006 at 19:56
That's where the mission ends. Do you have other objectives that you haven't completed yet?
Bulgarian_Taffer on 2/12/2006 at 20:31
Ready, and reviewed at southquarter.

Wonderful, fantastic textures, scenery, organization, all of it!
What makes it much more fun for me is what Slyfoxx alluded to much earlier - being able to "break it", or getting out the rope arrow and climbing to the off-limits areas...! Here are my screen shots towards that end... :thumb:

This FM is the sh@t! :wot: <p>
It was also fun to take the KO-ed thief and throw him down Garrett's chimney...heeheehee...!

I was wondering when someone would find those "bonus" areas! :laff:
