Portraits: One in vault 1, one in a secret place in the City Watch post, one in a hotel bedroom and one in the Pirate area.

Thanks ffox. Yes, I got the building from an early spoiler but had previously ransacked that place. But now got it without too much trouble anyway once I knew the right building for sure. There is a clue but... Good game all round and looking forward to the next level!
keeper portrait in big city watch precise location - switch behind big pile of crates upstairs. I had previously threw all the crates out as one is kind of obliged to in any mission - bit like slashing banners - but I had been completely careless about searching after. If I didn't see a big tunnel or something behind a pile of crates I guess I dismissed it. I've moved a lot of crates in my time without anything behind them except an occasional obvious biggy so got into a routine I guess. At that time I wasn't aware the author liked secret tiny micro switches! Yes, there is a clue in the red book but I took that as possibly the stash HAD been moved - not knowing when that was written. I think this mission is probably reasonably do-able without help IF the player was aware there were hidden micro switches without direct clues in kinda meaningless places such as the one to where Corrado is. I would look for a lock or a big lever but otherwise assume there is some other way in. What I mean is, there are thousands of locked doors in hundreds of missions but when you find a locked one you don't immediately start a big search everywhere in a radius of 50 feet for a secret lever - you assume you will find a key or other way later. Or is that just my playing style? Compare the other locked sewer gates. Or did I miss a clue?
One last thing - what happened with water flow? I mentioned no down flow with the sewer fall but also there is no flow from the falls near the little city watch. The flow itself there is OK but then is totally still? Minor nitpick on a superb mission! :thumb:

Yeah, I gotta apologize for the tiny switches - It was a pretty common complait (and a valid one). When you make the thing it just seems so obvious to you, but that's just because I knew where everything was. Just be glad you didn't have to beta test it :joke: It was much worse before.
Those screens I posted above are for something I hope to release within the next few months (. . .though I've said that before). I promise a minimal number of tiny switches, and none will be mission critical!
As for the water flow, I should have put in some flow but I got lazy :erm:

Yeah - those crazy beta testers take a lot of punishment with the raw material don't they? Good job my FM was flawless and easy right from the start. Ahem! :joke:
BTW, yes,I should have added mission-critical. An unclued micro switch is fair enough for some extra secret bonus fun item I reckon. :thumb:

That was a fantastic mission. I loved the graphics and story line. Gorgeous!.
I played on hard and was 80 short. I am going to play on Expert now.
I could not Get on the roofs:p
Wonderful. :thumb:
Is the gate (Alfio's) supposed to open at the end?.
Fidcal on 31/12/2006 at 06:49
Gillie: I think the mission end is the way in there for the next mission so no I can't see what you said opening.
Sliptip on 31/12/2006 at 14:26
Thanks Gillie :) The gate to Alfeo's never opens, it's just there for detail/completeness.

Don't worry about it... twisting arms is so not thief like... I think I would go for black jacking... :cheeky:
