The guard AI is crazy. For a start most of them seem unknockoutable, and they all seem to know I'm there even if I haven't revealed myself. It's a shame because it was such a promising level.

It's weird a lot of people have had that problem but it's just the standard AI (iirc). There's only one guard who can't be knocked out.
Are you playing on expert? If not just kill them.

Well, it seems reasonably perfect to try something someday with such an idea.
I myself had an (
http://www.ttlg.com/FORUMS/showthread.php?t=126235) earlier idea which seemed like the perfect fm to incorporate an optional multiplayer setting... but, seeing as my knowledge of dromed is nowhere perfect (A real drag for sure, until someone makes a youtube tutorial...), I'll be resorting to "leaving my idea out in the open for someone to take and be able to incorporate some helpful ideas".

A mission like that would be cool. I was always a huge fan of "The Sword" - I'd love to see a mission like that get done.

You got that right, Yandros! When I move from shadow to sunlight, I can feel my skin getting warmer!
Hell, I was expecting some random combine to come out from the corner and shoot at me... the graphics were
that good!!!Please note that Albert is not liable for an HL2 references you do not understand, and is protected under the Papa john act of 1987

Hey, some weird and truly impractical idea came to my mind...
What size would AA1 be if slippy were to have used 3D tiles of bricks (similar to how some doors in thief are fully 3-dimensional with extruding boards in a pattern) in the whole mission, I mean...
That would be a step up from doom 3, which uses a more practical (If you have something better than an intel chipset gpu) parallax mapping trick to create "3d tiles"...
Know what I mean. "Impractical", but interesting to ponder upon...

Just played this to the end yesterday - and I have to say that visually this mission is just amazing :D
Thanks, Sliptip, for a great FM!
The lighting, the textures, the mysterious plot - there was nothing I didn't like  Keep up the superb work :thumb:

P.S. When can we expect Ashen Age 2? Anytime soon...?

Thanks Summer! Glad you liked it :)
Part 2 is a long way off I'm afraid. . . All my estimates for release dates are horribly wrong so I don't even want to guess :(

Honestly, any compliment would just be understatement on this one. This FM is by far the most beautiful one I've ever seen - perhaps because of the daytime setting. Rocksbourg is great, yes, but really scary - while this one is atmospheric. The sound of the seagulls, sunlight vs. artificial light, etc. etc. I could go on
I'll be patient for AA2 :cheeky:

It's a shame that we can't clone Sliptip. AA2 is, I believe, about #3 or 4 on his FM to-do list.
