I am stuck... I have the trigger core, steel plate, detonator and TNT gel. I've also entered the little shach outside the inventors house and the inventor's house itself. I was trying to get the machine to combine all the ingredients to make the bomb to gain access to the docks. Am I missing something?:erm:

Have you placed the ingredients in the correct slots of the machine?
The metal plate and the TNT gel go into the left "slot", whereas the trigger goes into the right "slot". Then you should push the button and wait for a few seconds.

I have a problem similar, I think, to Firemage's, in that I can't get the mission to end properly. I'm on board ship. Basso is below deck, and alive as far as I can tell. All objectives are complete except two, to keep Basso alive and to only bring him through the flames when everything else is done. I can move the gangplank and spin the ship's wheel, but those two objectives won't complete and the mission won't end.

You could try the following:
Pick Basso up again, walk off the ship (without falling into the water!) and then back to the ship and drop him again.

@dbrilliant - Let me know how you used the machine and what happened. Even if you place any of the ingredients in the wrong slot(s), they should drop out of the output slot so you can try again.
@marbien - Weird, like I mentioned to FireMage, as soon as you get past the fire with Basso, the objective should disappear, and the fire area should collapse behind you, blocking your path. Maybe try to bring Basso back to point where you came through the fire again and see if it will trigger. The trigger spot is the top of the stairs after you come out of the small, tight corrider after the fire. Also, see if your path is blocked, there should be a new crate at the first doorway past the fire that stops you from going back to the previous parts of the mission.

I took Basso back to the fire area. It's still passable. Took him out the other side, and back through to the dock side of the fire again. It remains passable.

Strange, sorry about that, can't say I have a clue to why that wouldn't be working for only certain people. I'm planning on releasing an update soon, and I'll add some scripting that completes that objective when Basso is dropped into the hold as well, just for some extra coverage.

Hello all. I’m having trouble with a crash to desktop and worse.
Once I am able to get to the docks, specifically blow up the barrels blocking the entrance with the shielded charge I cannot use any weapons or items. If I select a weapon, bang, out to desktop. I can cycle through my inventory but again if I use anything the game will just freeze and a hard shutdown of the computer is all I can do.
Any ideas if this is fixable at all. I am enjoying this mission a lot and would like to finish
Awesome mission Brethren, many thanks. Ls

Lost Soul - Thanks for the nice comments. No one has reported that error so far, not sure what the cause might be. I'd suggest a reload, but I'm guessing you've tried that. What O/S are you playing on?

I had the same thing happen but it only happened if I was in the vicinity of the entrance to the docks where you blow up the blockade. When I went farther into the dock area (either side) I was able to draw weapons without a crash.
