My guess about The keeper and overall plot is that the dead guy who had the map of the mysterious island was working for them and had to find Garrett to give it to him (The island probably has something to do with the undead, if narrative progression is anything to go by). If thats true then the keeper is just there to suggest that they are still watching you and expect you to save the world... again.

Of course I found myself a BlackJack and knocked the bugger out, since he wasn't being very helpful. I get the feeling I'm supposed to be able to do something else with that blackjack though.

finished finally. only had 1 of 4 secrets and missed all but 14 pieces of food and 1000+ in loot and 2 of 4 weapons stashes

i am stuck,been over the fence put in code 360 flipped the switch nothing happens,the lockbox does not highlight i also need a key for storage and one for the door inside the bookshop,can someone please help,

hawk: You need to do something at the gate leading to Stonemarket. The books inside the bookshop should help give you a hint. You cannot get to the other two keys until you've solved this puzzle. Also I don't believe that toolbox is meant to be used.

And if you are so tired to find the right code, there is a cheat action Shot a broadhead in the button between the jumper switch and the odometer

i did that flipped the switch bu the lock on the other wall does not highlight

I think you need to get into the storage near the Docks entrance. There's something there you need. You can get in there by finding a 'special' book in the bookshop which will tell you what lockpicks to use and in what order.

You don't need the ladder to come down or get in the door where the electrics are. You've got what you need which is the code. But you have something else to do before using the code.
