On the side of that shed with the door, rope arrow up to the left side of the door, near the fortress wall. There are three planks in the wall of that shed, just under the roof, that can be removed with the crowbar. Also, I could be mistaken but I seem to remember that I got the key by frobbing the shelf over the stairwell in that hut. Start up the stairs, turn around and you'll see the shelf.
