How do I get in? Thought the sewers were needed to get in. Guess not.
No, you won't get into the police station by the sewers. Your way of getting in is very close to the station and not below ground level. To be more precise, it is
on ground level. Move around the station and look for a (hidden) entrance.

Soul Tear: No need to get your feathers ruffled. I was just expressing my opinion, which, I think, everybody has the right to. I really appreciate your work, but sometimes it can be really frustrating. :thumb:
BTW, is there (or will be) a complete walkthrough to this mission?
No problem. Maybe I'll do a video walkthrough, but unfortunately I have not enough space on my hard drive, so I do not know when. I use fraps and requires 80 Gb.
BTW, if you will play in my Lost in the Far Edges, then it has a video walkthrough on YouTube.

Stuck...
I'm trying to work the find Thereon objective. I've been in room 1 and 3 and found readable stuff. (is something hidden really well in room 3?) I've got the spider in the jar. I've read both guest registries. I've been in the merchant's room, disabled the gas trap and explored the attic and the grooms area. The LONG book in the grooms room...do I have to digest that whole thing? It just rambles on and on and on and on and on.........and on. (made a few rope arrows..nice tough that) I have not opened the unlabeled door on the second floor of the tavern, nor have I been in room 2. I've found 6 secrets and about 4700 loot. I've been on both sides of the wall bordering the forest but that's because of extraordinary climbing, not because the particle effect wall is gone. I've been on the roof of the Cozy Inn and the Science house. In short, I've climbed a lot of places! I've explored the sewer. I've been in the wine cellar and three floors of Lady A's house. I found the "bloody" room passage.
Frame rate has been exceptionally smooth for me even when getting "out of bounds". Only twice have I had to reload dude to the white poly problem.

He's in room 2.
Hint: His Room Door can't be opened
Bigger Hint: Search for a way into room from outside
Spoiler: You can go out the window from the room with the guard pacing back and forth and walk along the edge to his window, or do what I did; jump the big hole and climb the fence into that area. There's some wood at the base of the building across from his window you can shoot a rope arrow into and you can jump/mantle on to the ledge.

That's room 3 not 2. 3 has
the floating stones. I found a wall panel that moved revealing a book that was loot. That tiny room was under what I assume is a flight of stairs. I gather the flight of stairs is behind the unmarked and locked door on the 2nd floor. I found a note about a bloody key, a figure in the attic and possible activity by Inn hostess. But I'm still stuck as to how I should proceed.
Have a really, really good look at the big rock. (I think) :)

Yeah, If you've found the floating stones, then you've found "him." Which will be made clear when you read something.:D

I'm not able to play this FM, since the fact that the mission is very "shaky". I know you have another word for this, but I can't come up with this right now.
I don't know why this is such a problem. Perhaps it has to due with my Thief PC, (I got it from my dear friend Nightshifter), running under Windows XP???
But it only has the Thief game installed???
Happy to be back here BTW ...... :)

I don't guess you're too computer savvy, but if you're running under XP chances are your computer is simply too outdated to run such a demanding mission.
Even taffers with modern machines are getting lag (or "shakiness" as you put it), so unfortunately your options are limited. And expensive.
Stick with simpler missions and you'll be fine :thumb:

Have you managed to progress past room 3 yet Slyfoxx? Have you
tried limboing under the large, central rock in room 3 yet?.
I thought that I had frobbed all of the bookcases in Room 3 ( I have a bad reputation as a serial banner slasher too :) !
and still didn't find the secret! Back to Room 3 for me then.
