1. If I remember well, but I could be wrong, I was automatically equipped with holy water from the very start of the game (I played Expert difficulty). Correct me if I am wrong.
Holy water
can be found in Lady Adaline's house.

When I tried to return through that miserable front gate affair, it had been sealed off. (No, it wasn't because I raised the gate.)
I'm not certain what you meant by that. Are you able to get back to the starting area through the front gate or not? It
should be possible to get back to the starting point through the gate house if you went through earlier. If, however, you went in by the other route, namely by
going through the sewers, the gate may be closed and you have to go back through the
sewer hatch, which is located near one of the corners of the mechanic's shop.Quote Posted by Ricebug
I know there's a 'spare arrow' in the
lodge (guards' shack). However, I found one early on in the mission. Can someone refresh my memory as to where I may have found it?
You most likely found your first "spare arrow" in
a barrel in the grotto where the "zombefied" thief lies behind the banner. There are others scattered throughtout the mission, however. Another one, for example, can be found near the "Stumbled Traveler".
Head for the house with the gas trap, but instead of entering the house, continue past it and down to where a person resembling a thief patrols. Get rid of this guy, then search the large room down there. A "spare arrow" is stuck in the ceiling somewhere near the central pillar of this room. I did not write down other locations of these arrows, but I'm sure there are some more to be found.

This is more of a long list of hints and screenshots I've done, as opposed to a step-by-step walkthrough. Would the community like both, seeing as to the FM's difficulty?
Maybe it would also suffice to describe what the player has to do in order to complete the main mission goals, except for, perhaps, how the loot goal can be achieved. A short list could already be enough.

I went back through Dromed and tracked down the stuff. As far as getting back through the front (south gate), I'll poke around in there again, but I'm fairly sure it's sealed. I'm referring to the area where you crawl through a maze made up of grates.
How in the heck do you get into the sewer? I have Dromed-cheated that entire area and cannot puzzle it out. The manhole cover near the Mechanist Shop is hopelessly locked. Crowbar doesn't work on it. There's no key. The lock is below the cover. So, what's the secret?
you access it via the drainage pipe in start area. I've read you can put a rope into the "log" that sticks out the right side of the big pipe. I know, I know..it doesn't look like a log. This mission is full of frustrating stuff like that. Or you can do what I did...put a rope into the ground above the pipe from the far side and then go around and shimmy down.
I'm trying to get in the stables, I'm in the room with the fireplace & I know where the door is from the clang it makes when I hit it but I'm damned if I can find the switch to open it a fairly direct hint would be appreciated thanks

Direct Hint:
If you're in the fireplace looking to the backwall/sercet door, look to the top and left. Very tiny hard switch to find. Also FYI, Ricebug just released a full walkthrough for this mission with a pic of that
fireplace and switch, Gotta love Ricebug!:thumb:

Looking for some help on this one. Tbh, I'm finding most of this FM non-intuitive and illogical. Even after reading Ricebug's walkthrough, I'm still stuck and not sure where to go or what to do. My only real objectives at the moment are to 1) Penetrate the House of Science, and 2) Find Thereon and talk to him.
From what I can tell so far, I need to get into Thereon's room. Room #1 is open, and I can climb through the window there and out onto the ledge that goes around the building. But then there's a gap in the ledge that I need to get over. Can't seem to make the jump, and even though there's a spot for a rope arrow above, I can't seem to get a rope in a decent position where I can jump to it. Ricebug's walkthrough mentions a speed potion, but I don't have one nor do I know where to get one. I saw mention of an attic in the walkthrough, but I don't know where that is.
What's the next step? Is there an alternate way to get into Thereon's room?

I don't know if what I did was the intended method, but it worked. Here's a hint (f you need more, ask): Try placing the rope somewhere else. Look around. You might have to place more than one and do some up and down climbing. Or rather, down and up.
Ricebug on 2/3/2015 at 04:31
@Brethren: There are only two speed potions, and one isn't available until you get into Thereon's room (it's in the guard shack with the Forest Key). The other speed potion is in the safe, which is beneath the guard's tower.
The attic is located above the stableman's residence, and is accessed via the fireplace. (The place where you keep getting gassed.)
