I completely reworked this FM.
Changes:
- extended storyline
- new goals (removed all old goals)
- quests
- new gameplay
- new areas
- reworked some old areas
- no frustrating puzzles
- removed all bonuses
I also increased the fps by removing unnecessary objects. But this FM will be released together with the second part (Raven's Nest).
Approximate release date of June this year.

@Brethren: Here's what I did,
there's a octagonal building outside of Thereon's window. If you look close, there's a ring of wood around the underside. I shot a rope into it and jumped across and mantled the ledge at his window.
No rope arrow or speed potion needed here. Don't you know guys how to run faster in Thief ?
Just run in diagonal, use forward and strafe at the same time, you'll walk/run faster and easilly reach the ledge.

Sweet, can't wait to see what's improved.

The release date postponed to some time, I decided to add movies and some more stuff. One good man is currently drawing illustrations for this. This project can and should be better. ;)

I loved the original. It had some great, thiefy atmosphere :cheeky: . Sometimes I play the beginning portion of the mission, right before entering the town, and walk around, listening to the ambient sounds and admiring the amazing graphics. Can't wait for the expanded version and the sequel :thumb:

i am begging you to make low resource missions as the first one was to laggy i was not even able to play it,in any part of the map even with lowest settings
thief is not better with good graphics, what makes thief great is the playability
i cant afford a good computer :(

+1, or certainly with a nod to low end users. This coming from someone who alpha tested this mission from the beginning.

Indeed. There is even a reasonable margin for that jump.
I love this mission! At times, it's a little claustrophopic and sometimes it's hard to guess what will take a rope arrow and what will not, but those are minor things.
I am now at what feels like the last part, at the spot where the magical barrier has now been removed.
What stumped me FOR THREE HOURS (and it's not mentioned
anywhere in this thread!) was this: where the F*CK the door to the attic is! From Thereon's notes, it sounded like it would be a window you would enter from the outside, and he also talks about 'the inn' when he actually means 'the tavern'...
Okay, I should
maybe have put two and two together when I saw the underside of the staircase from within Thereon's secret room, but still...I was convinced there were only three doors on that tavern floor, and not four.
(BTW, I have a mine now! Going to try it on that annoying camera down in the wine cellar.)

Well, I could remove about 2,000 objects (out of 6400) to get the maximum FPS, I checked it earlier. But then the level will look ugly and empty. I just wanted to warn you.
As work on new Bad Venture completed (including alpha testing), I think that we can start beta test. After test I'll take some break. The beta testing two large missions (especially second part) is too hard task for me.
Who wants to participate in beta testing of new Bad Venture Lite?
