I have a question, I have all the objectives ticked off but one, which is leaving the note on Garretts Desk. I have searched the whole place from top to bottm for this note, but dont know if I have it already, tried putting a parchment on Garretts desk called, a Notice, but the objective doesnt tick off..
Would someone kindly tell me where, or what this note is to complete the objective..
Thanks
You need to go through the boarded up root cellar doors to find the right note iirc.
I have already been through this area, I did pick up a note, but it would seem that is has mysteriously disappeared on me..
Guess I will have to do a re-load from a previous and find out what happens to that certain note..
thanks

Just like to say that I really enjoyed this mission, the Metallica sample had me in stiches. Maybe you could work in Angel of death or sanitarium :joke: .
I know, bad joke I'll get my cloak...

There seems to be some sort of secret door on the second floor in one of the towers where the archers were. Can this be opened?
Never mind. Found out what it was. However, when I run into Garrett's room, I hear him and see a flash bomb drop, but he's not there. I can even block his escape route, preventing the door from opening, but the game still progresses as though he escaped. Anyone else get this?
I see what's going on. Depending on your actions, you can screw up the missions normal sequences. I found out that if you make a loud noise such as hitting the fireplace, an invisible Garrett stays in the room close to his desk and he attacks you if you get his attention, like hitting him or moving in to his view. This is a substantial bug. Good thing I quick save ALOT! You never know when a bug is going to ruin a mission for you.

i'm normally not a hack-em-up sort, but have to agree with meatinacan - when i first started this up, it cracked me up & i really enjoyed the challenge of this one (for me it is one cause like someone else said, i also can't sword fight worth a damn :))
the only problem i had was :
using the crowbar on the door outside
i was standing too close to the door & not all the boards opened completely - and no way to get them to at that point either - so it took many a reload to get back out of there!
i can't wait for your next one, amievil :)

amievil?, I think this mission has it's ups and downs. I LOVE the castle/mansion. The architecture is great. But I don't like the guards. I tried killing one in his bed, and the guard in the hall came in. (I had the door shut.) While I'm a blackjack junkie and I can't start the slaughter until I've seen everything so I can't figure where to go next. The guards DO seem to be psychic. I kill someone that no one can see, and all the guards know. I guess the thing that would get me started is:
how do I shut off the alarm?
All in all, I think this a Great mission that could use some tweaking.

PS- I'm playing on expert, if that helps.

Ok, I've almost finished the mission. I took out most of the gaurds using
the Swimming Pool trick that someone else spoke of.
So, now all I have to do is kill Garrett. Except I can't find him, and the mission won't end. He threw his flash bomb at me, (apparantly) ran out, that's it. Is he invisible? Help!

its been so long since i built anything with dromed i couldnt fix some of the problems even if i wanted to :( im "retired" now from building. havent played much since finishing DS, but just wanted to poke my head in and say im still alive, and still love all three thief games. ive just been so busy with my writing that i havent had the chance to come around often. i feel more like garrett than ever when i lurk around here :)
