Thank you all for your nice comments. I'm glad you've enjoyed playing it as much as I enjoyed making it!
Foubister: Ah ha! I suspected that might have happened somewhere, but I'm not a very careful loot hunter, so I never managed to track down all of it once it was placed. Thanks for finding the buried treasure.
The_Dude: And thank you for figuring out my bunny problem. They look so much cuter when they are gray and white! Also, looking over my readme, I realize I failed to give credit for those adorable things to Shadowspawn, a terrible oversight considering how awesome they are! I first saw them while beta-testing his amazing mission Lord Fishkill's Curse and knew immediately I'd be using them in a mission someday. As for the deformed spiders, I'm not sure what is causing that. Poor things.
I'll be putting together an updated version to correct these mistakes later today. Sorry for the inconvenience folks ... this just goes to show, even after five years of dromeding, it doesn't hurt to send the final version through one last beta-test!

What a cool mission so far. I have only gotten as far as the expirimental subjects. Loved the hopity hopity burrick....It wasn't able to see me though and I couldn't kill it but I got the goodies in there anyhow and enjoyed watching it hop around. I would have loved to see it escape though and go hopping all around the place. Thanks. I think this adventure has just begun ;)

Thanks for finding the buried treasure.
Cool! I'm a pirate! :joke:
Actually it wasn't that hard. I used edit_load_game saves/quick.sav and generated a "dump everything" report when I was still 100 short after scouring every nook and cranny.

There's an updated version of the mission up now that corrects the missing bunny textures and fixes the loot total. You should now be able to find all the loot (if you look hard enough) and the bunnies ought to be an adorable gray and white instead of multicolored pastels. Horray!:thumb:
The new link is here: (

I've also updated the original link at the beginning of the thread.
If you've already played the mission and don't mind the errors mentioned above, don't worry about downloading again. And thank you, guys, for letting me know about the problems so I could get them fixed.

I am looking for the Goal that starts with "Wow! Eureka you openend all the doors...." Does anyone know how to achieve this goal?

Great FM! The only thing I can complain about is that I have nothing to complain about
Good gameplay with lots of variety and even the keyhunt was fun (thanks to the vague clue, but not too vague for me to get it).
Well, there was one thing I missed: A last objective to return to where you started. That way you could have explored the mansion after returning (even with all the other objectives completed).
At one point I was thinking about the outdated graphics of Thief and I thought to myself that it doesn't matter: The joys that Thief brings are so much better than fancy graphics and this FM proved this point once more.

I see you've been peeking into my mission files. ;) Sadly, this objective didn't make it to the final product. It was part of an easter egg that I decided to remove from the finished mission due to design issues. I must have forgotten to erase the text in the goals.str after axing the secret area from the main mission. So now it only serves as a teasing reminder of what could have been ... and a little clue to torment people who search the raw mission files for bonus objectives. :ebil:

Honestly, I wish I had done this, because I know how many people enjoy getting every last piece of loot and exploring every nook and cranny when they play Thief (myself included). My main reason for not giving a "return to start" objective was that I couldn't make the mansion fully functional without going WAY over the objects limit in dromed. A disappointing excuse, even to me.
In hindsight, I should have made an objective which basically says Garret's ready to go home so get out of the mansion to exit without finishing the rest of the heist. That would have allowed people the time to search the accessible parts of the building without requiring major dromed construction. Too bad I only just thought of that compromise. :p
In other news, my other big unfinished mission, "Wicked Relics" is the "mansion that would have been." It was originally going to be either part of Bloodmist Tower (before I ran into the objects limit very early on) or the first part of a two-mission pack. But Bloodmist Tower was so close to being ready, I decided to release them separately, as I feel they can both stand on their own, story-wise. So if I ever manage to get WR out of beta-testing and out to where people can actually play it, you can have all the time you need to explore what would have been the full mansion in Bloodmist Tower if only the dark engine would have allowed it. :D
And now you know a little of the "darkside" of mission design ... all the cool stuff that doesn't quite make it to the final mission due to time constraints and technical issues ... oh joy!:tsktsk:
