not the Sunburst? I saw where it was said I would be needing that for the next mission...but I don't have it now? I'm about to try and get fire arrows at this point but thought I'd ask about this change of items???? Ta and Good Hunting!

@ Fire Eater

To take the sunburst with you was no objective in 'Abysses'. It was mentioned in the books that you might need it to open the ruins but - actually we took it out of 'Bloody Ruins' because we weren't sure if every player read that hint and took the sunburst in his inventory.

The cig carton you still carry with you because you stole it in 'Coterie of Smokers' from Lord J. to take it to Dayport and exchange it with some smuggled cigarettes to help one of your friends.
So that's why you/Garrett still carried it in 'Abysses' and also in 'Bloody Ruins'. He still hasn't completed his target he set himself to exchange those weeds in Dayport.

Well I have a new question or two...

I'm in the caves and after watching the Lizards from the first hole looking over the lava pit...I went around a bit and found mylady (don't think I'm going to be able to rescue her) and also found the water pool a little further on with the "haunt" patrolling below. If I'm supposed drop down into pool (with all those boulders and not smash myself up in the process) I certainly wouldn't be able to do that with her and not drown her (as I've read earlier is a secret option blah, blah :) ). I'm playing "Hard" mode am I supposed to get to that pool and drop into it for the next phase to leave this place? Thanks for helpers...cause right now I'm confused and I need help..help...help please :) Ta and Good Hunting!

If this is really the last mission in the series, how about doing what you did with the Lord Ashton series?

Fire Eater [SPOILER] I think you can drop down into the pool and get out without drowning her but if you notice, the edge of the opening above the pool is wood. You can put in a rope arrow and climb down. I dropped down, took care of the haunt down below, then climbed back up to get Lottie, when it was safe. [/SPOILER]

:erg: I'm not able to do that Nightie...unless I can put an arrow at an angle and jump over onto it...I can't climb down one from the top. Never managed to learn how to do that manuver...and there's no way up there to do that so that I could :( I think I'm going to have to try and shoot Haunt first from above cause otherwise I think my splash would be too noisy and alert it, etc. Thanks for info anyway :) Ta and Good Hunting!

No, you can jump into the pond without alerting him, as long as he's not in the room. I've done it a number of times and then you can skuttle over into a corner and wait to ambush him. :) I don't think I've ever tried putting the rope arrow in from up above, only from below to get back up so perhaps it's not possible. I'll have to try it sometime.

OK...I took care of Mages...went into rooms and clicked the buttons...went back to pedestal, dropped braclets and nada???? Don't understand..what am I not doing right? How do I get door to open? Thank you :) Ta and Good Hunting!
