I think I'm still at the beginning of the mission. I went down some stairs (where the mission starts) and went into the cathedral. I see a haunt besides a big metal hammer. With all the light, how am I supposed to get past him? There's a lot of light and a another undead by the double doors. Help anyone?
OK, never mind. I was able to walk right by this guy.

So I just found the sword and now there's a haunt blocking the way in the first tunnel. How do I get by him? Every time I whack him with the sword all the other haunts are alerted and kill me. I tried running, but they always find me. Any clues, please?
Never mind. I finally managed after about 30 minutes of trying.
I whacked the guy in the tunnel and ran straight into a house and hopped onto a ladder, hiding there until the 5 haunts chasing me got tired.
.
Geeze, this is definitely hard.
ShadowWolf421 on 25/2/2006 at 03:44
Hey everyone, is there anyway to get past the haunt in the tunnel right after you get the sword? I keep alerting everyone and i get cornered in a lil house and then when i get on the roof on it and archer haunt nails me:tsktsk:
anyone got any ideas or advice?

That's where I'm at. Got the sword and killed the one guard, but had to run run run after that. Is this what is supposed to happen? You barely have enough time to open a door. And there's more than one door to attempt. I ran so deep into the area that I'm sure I missed something along the way. I ended up jumping through an open window and climbing a ladder to the second floor, the top floor being blocked by boulders.

Hmmm... I don't remember where the sword was just offhand.
But the mission was a LOT easier after I got the hidden Broad Arrow cache. --- 10 to 15 arrows kills a haunt, just in case folks don't know.
Here's where the arrows are...
Enter the maze-like crypts area and at the bottom of the stairs are the first two coffins - one on your left and one on your right - inside those little niches. Search the one on your LEFT. I'm very anal-retentive about frobbing, and when I clicked all around there, I grabbed about 350 broad arrows.
That made dealing with those Rooftop-Haunts a LOT more comfortable.

Unfortunately, I got all but two of the rooftop archers using 4 fire arrows. Please don't tell me I'm gonna need those fire arrows later on and no more are going to be available.
btw, I'm frobbing all over that place, but getting nothin.
ShadowWolf421 on 27/2/2006 at 00:08
its hard to through anything when you have about 7 haunts on your tail
Ponterbee on 27/2/2006 at 07:27
Clock - If I can remember, I'll load up BH again tonight and try to get the exact place I got the arrows. Maybe it was higher up, or lower down, but it WAS in that area. I'm absolutely positive of it.
You don't NEED the fire arrows, they're just nice to have around.
ShadowWolf, I'm sorry to hear you're in that situation - ugh. If you can get into the crypts, there are a LOT of recesses you can duck into and wait until they forget about you OR slowly kill them with your sword (if you have it), swinging at an angle through the wall textures. I can't remember any other safe places. There's TONS of haunts down in that crypt, but it's pretty easy to lose them down there, and to backstab-wait till everythings quiet-backstab again.

Sorry! The arrows are in the RIGHT niche, not the left. My memory was wrong. (This is why Nightwalker keeps notes, LOL)
Sorry if you wasted too much time clicking there. :(
There are 350 arrows, which was more than enough to deal with those damned sniper-haunts on the rooftops.
