Hi Dia,
Enjoy the trip .....!!! ....... and please tell me "the exclusives" because I can't find them on my own!!!
Gloria Creep
Hi Gloria!
Yes, thank you!! I've enjoyed this trip tremendously (husband's back now, but is fully versed in the rules: i.e. don't even bother if I'm playing Thief)!! I just finished this beyond-spectacular mission (is that Don over there .... blushing????) and am fighting the urge to start pestering Uncadonego about his FMs still in progress.
Which exclusives were you asking about? I found all five switches
(he likes to place them behind beds, statues & such ..... look close to the floor in all cases & don't forget there are two in the basement)
and found all five secrets (without having to read any spoilers!), but I can't remember where all the secrets were. This mission is definitely made for exploring, so just explore til you drop! (Literally, for me.......I kept falling off of ledges & the edges of rooftops!)
I know he's probably getting tired of it.....but THANK YOU UNCADONEGO!!
I'm now going to go play SlyFoxx's latest. See you on the other side!

I got into the vault.
It was the switch in the attic that needed to be turned to the up position. So that's all done.

In the attic? You mean the loft above the sleeping guy's bedroom in the basement? I can see no switch anywhere in there. I have put all the other switches in the up position: 1,2,3 & 4 and yet still the vault door has not opened.
Help!

I think the attic you are looking for
is at the top of the ladder ......inside the crawl space . It is a guards bedroom, and the switch is behind one of the beds ,and very hard to see!!!:sly:

He likes those " tiny " switches, but it still is a GREAT game:)
A guards bedroom, you say? Which floor of the gallery is that? The only guard's bed I can see is in the basement round the corner from the well-dressed guy in his own room (where there is a switch that opens a loft with 2 treasure items), but there is no ladder or attic there.
If you take the elevator to the top floor, then walk around to the wall behind, you will find a crawl-space ( you have to crouch to go in ). In there is the ladder, which I believe , runs from the 1st floor up to the " attic ". There are 2 guards up there , but their hearing is not that good!!!!
I hope this helps.:) I probably should have used " spoilers ", but they are not working for me today:tsktsk:

Ahh, got it. Thanks!
Regarding spoilers, just type the word 'spoiler' in square brackets [] and finish the spoiler with the word '/spoiler' in square brackets. Similar to html code.

My sentiments exactly, Uncadonego! However...
You made it *way* too easy to
hop onto the lower floor ledge on the building E-NE of the bell tower, the Apt. building to the east of the Gallery. I saved the game while I was on there, since it seemed such an easy, natural and obvious spot to be hopping onto, thinking it will lead to an open window, access to another building, etc., no different than all the others I've encountered so far. However, once you're there, you're f**ked! And, the game doesn't end when you're there, claiming you're "too close to the ground".
What up wid dat!? :wot: Unless there's a wooden spot up above on the
bell tower or somewhere on the gallery building wall
that I can't see, to shoot a rope arrow on...or on the north side, with the view of the nice long street leading north...I also thought that maybe the
angular relief portions of the Gallery building would allow a way to step up somehow in order to get onto the ledge above my head on the next floor, from which it looks like I can get back onto the bell tower,
but no dice. anyone manage to get out of that spot without hitting "Load"?
Also, for fun, I managed to get onto the narrow balcony north of the slanted roof where Garrett wonders how he'll "get up there" (it's the building with the big, squiggly X on it on the map)...however, that *was* obvious that you needed to save before doing so... :D
Other than that, a great bit of gameplay, lots of chances to push the envelope (mostly ending in splat, or "too close to the ground")...!! If I want to play more, looks like I'm going to have to start over... :tsktsk: :erm: :)

One nice touch that really would have been the icing on the cake would be thee freedom to roam the streets after completing the mission. Now that would have been fun!
