I am wondering if yours was overwritten ? A new date like that, it could very well be corrupted.
I have never seen a date that on any stock thief files. If you would like, I would provide a link to the common thief2 convict.osm Have you had difficulty in other fm's ? You would have to back yours up, and just paste the convict.osm into your thief2 directory.

Most all my files in the Thief2 game dir. have this date of 5/26/2012. I did have to do a system restore awhile back dont know if this is a result of that tho. This is really the first FM mission I have played that I have had a problem with like this. I'll download the one you linked to and try it.

I mostly enjoyed this huge mission. I generally love sprawling maps like this. Usually. If they don't get too tedious. The artwork, sound, original voice-work were all superior.
But. . .
I didn't really like the surprise mandatory objective added near the end to find the history book. If you are going to make objectives mandatory with required reading hints in a huge mission, then at least let the player put those hints in their inventory. The library hint was early in the mission, but the book could not be added to inventory. By the time I got near the end, several days later, I was unable to remember every single detail I read earlier in the level. So, search thread for clues. . .
And. . .
The evidence jar watch evidence label was erased after going through the machine. It went back to showing just an empty "evidence jar" instead of "watch evidence" like I saw in the walk-through video. This made me think I had to find a another piece of evidence to put in the jar. After scouring the map, I just tried to put the empty "evidence jar" on the table, to see if that would work, and it did.
Finally,
I finished everything except the steep 5000/5266 loot requirement. Even for expert mode, that seems a tad unreasonable. I fell shy of about 100 until it got to the point of tedium.
Despite my criticisms, I still consider this one of the best, huge, cathedral missions I've ever played.;)

Thanks for playing, and we are glad you enjoyed it. Pedro will update it tomorrow, and your idea of the carryable book "History of Lost Treasures" is a good idea, and it will be in the update, as well as some added loot for Master Difficulty.
The watch jar evidence you saw was from an early beta. It has been long changed since then. Glad you used the walkthouh videos though !
Cheers !
Just as players will always learn to play, the Author's will always learn to build.

HI Sticky Fingers thanks for the compliments ;-), here´s some locations you might not have found yet:
Mayor´s wc above the toilet; in the interrogation room next to Garrett cell, below the attic staircase in the mayor´s house, above the wooden rafts in the cathedral workshop, and always look carefull in the tables beside the beds Sorry about the delay - lost Internet connection for a couple days.
Thanx for all the suggestions. I'd missed
the interrogation room coin, the bag on top of a crate & the nugget above the cathedral power station - they got me to 4976. Honestly, that'll do :D (I'll buy 1 less broadhead next time!)
Excellent stuff, you guys :thumb: Architecture, layouts, event scripting, detail & most of the artwork were really good - & the music / ambients superb.
(Still like to see more authors have loot as a bonus objective. Players who are a tiny bit short of the loot 'requirement' can then complete the mission without having to crawl all over the map for a couple hours. Just my 2 cents.)

We are glad you enjoyed it Sticky, and we are taking notes, always trying to improve through hard work. :thumb: Just a reminder, Pedro will update another version and post the link tomorrow.
Should be easier to win the mission then.

I don't think you are looking in the right place. Go to your Thief folder, right click on "convict.osm" and in the menu that pops up choose "Properties". The Properties box will open. On the "General" tab, there should be three dates: Created, Modified and Accessed. What does the "Modified" date say?
uhai on 24/6/2012 at 03:16
the modify date is may 26 2012

Like I said earlier I had lost most of all of my files due to some kind of f bug on my machine. Using system restore and a recovery program I got them back and 5/26/2012 must have been the day I did it.
Thanks to everyone for the replies and help. It's not a big deal ,I Really enjoyed this great fan mission, I had completed all the objectives so I just forced ended the mission. I.ve been playing Thief FM for many years they are enjoyable and free so I cannot complain about a few bugs here and there. To all the authors keep up the good work.
