Ther is a small switch in small hole in window with picture of hammerite. What is this switch for [/SPOILER]?
Nice small FM !

It's been a while since I played this mission, but you will definitely recognize the pool when you see it. If memory serves, it's in a room lit by torches. Just above the pool are small windows looking out on the church yards. I believe it is on ground level. The pool is on the second floor, above the pulpit. I'll fire it up and see what I can find.
EDIT: I just started and, strange as it may seem, I vaguely remember needing to flip a switch to get the pool to work.
(This may mislead you and I may be wrong so take as you will. But it does make sense in a way...The Keepers have said before that magic is simply misunderstood technology.)
EDIT 2: Apparently I was right about the switch. The pool has to be cleansed.
EDIT 3: Which difficulty are you playing on?
EDIT 3: Adjacent the pool are two darkened windows. At the bottom of the right one (with the skeleton) is a removed tile. There is a small opening revealing a switch. Remove a tile on the left window to find the other switch.
Be back with more information if I find any.

metal dawn: thanks, I have found some thread about this FM yet...

Sorry for the necromancy.
Finished this mission for the first time yesterday, and it really surprised me how good it is :D
Even though it's a beta version, It didn't felt that the author left this incomplete. Everyone works like a charm, and I only found a couple of bugs (one of them being the absence of the secrets line in the stats menu).
Didn't had any trouble during play, except for finding the second switch, to bless the fountain. Because of the shorter highlight range, I failed to notice the lose stone under the other stained glass window at first.
Nice texturing, great atmosphere, good level design of the cathedral (it's accessible from crypts to roof) and a lot of things I've never seen in any FM before: the bell rope to climb up, the new zombie parts, and the haunt archers equipped with fire arrows :wot:
Together with some other small things (burning wall candle's, new book textures, clever secrets, fog) makes it feel like it was ahead of it's time :thumb:
And could this be the first mission with a lantern included?
A small, good looking, undead mission, with an entity I often miss in many recent missions. Although I haven't tried, it seems like it's ghostable too.
Shame really, that the author never released another. He definitely has talent.

QUESTION: can someone tell me if the holy symbol and candle have any purpose?

Don't remember ever having played this one JonesC - but it is a good, scary challenge and can be finished despite the beta status. Got fed up with all the doors maybe  !
Shame it remains "unfinished" but found a limited use for the candle - can be used on Brother Aprenus's sarcophagus and then lighted with a fire arrow - but nothing more happens for me: no reward or positive indication  - Tried reading the scroll with the blessing in it but again no success.
I see earlier posts mentioned a bonus objective and a holy symbol - neither of which I found (unless the objective relates to the candle (or sword- see below) ? and maybe the holy symbol means some seemingly useless rosary beads I found?) Don't know if you need to do something with (Brother?) Drevone's corpse and there's also a suspicious looking wall/candle bracket in one of the pool siderooms?
I don't know what I did - and I can't reproduce it  - but I did find St Edgar's Sword at one point which had appeared in one of the corridors but now forgotten where exactly - but it didn't take me any further forward.

Thanks for the reply...was a good mission anyway regardless of not being able to use all that you have in your inventory...

With permission of the author I'm doing a remake of this unfinished Fm in TDM, so watch this space..
