blessed scepter objective to check off. Is the pool set to time delay? I tried to "use" the scepter but I couldn't drop it, and don't recall whether or not it was "usable" (like a key, goes out in front of you when frobbed in inventory).

If I recall, the lantern is laying by the zombie near small building outside.
I thought the pool switches were nicely done. The book in the next room says that there are "switches" (i.e. at least two). One switch is reasonable to find. The frobbable pieces of tile beside it let you guess where the other switch is located. Of course, with the frob distance being short, you need to get pretty close to find it.

I found the lantern and was supprised when it stayed in my inventory. It just happen to be up when I tried to click on a door. The lantern lit up instead and I could carry it around and see all the dark spots. Truly great idea! Loved it.

Thanx, found the lantern, it was very cool, wish I had it the whole time. I know Phantom was interested in using it for a project and I'd like to be able to use it also. (I actually have a lantern model already, just the way you made it work is really cool, it would be good when I rerelease Crom's Blade.)
I found the text talking about turning the pool on, thought it was only one switch, found one to the right , good hiding spot! Like the tile on the floor.

Hey folks. Firstly, I'm new here! I've been registered at Eidos for a long time and finally felt I should come over here too. You guys have a really weird colour theme here, but these icons are looking nice! :D
I just played Cathedral of the Damned.. wow, that was amazing. Beware, there may be some spoilers ahead!
The mission's really foggy. At first it seems so thick that you can barely see! But as the mission continues, you get used to it and it really brings out the best atmosphere. The graveyard was one of the most memorable scenes in an FM to date, with the hammerite, and the layout!
The gameplay was so expertly designed I would think this to be an original mission. So few FM authors realize that the undead aren't just hack-and-slash materal, and Dark Angel is one of those few. She made this mission so you could completely ghost it. And it's twice as scary when you ghost.
What do you guys think? :)

Welcome Elric.
I agree with you about this mission. I'm a self-confessed non-undead player, but I will always give an undead mission a go. This mission really impressed me, I didn't get the same feeling of not enjoying myself that I get with a lot of undead missions. This was one that I really enjoyed, and imho it was the ability to ghost the mission which gave it that edge, although the atmosphere was very well realised.
Just a quick note to those, like myself, who don't get on with undead missions. Firstly, give them all a go, they all have features that even the most fervant undead mission hater will enjoy, and definitely give this mission a go because it is a trully excellent mission.

I just started this FM today and I am already impressed. Damn!

Yes, i really enjoyed this mission as well. But fog doesn't work on my machine so I missed out on that effect. I think my cheap graphics card doesn't support it.
I've almost competed the mission on Expert and am missing just some gems. I have fulfilled the loot objective but am lacking 50 in gems. Can someone tell me where it might be? All the other objectives are done.
How many secrets are there in this mission? The Stats page doesn't provide that info. Here are the ones I've found.
Just these 2: the canndlestick in the library, the sliding bed in the basement.
I also found the special sword which can kill zombies but I don't think that one was one of the secrets (it didn't make the secrets sound). I just accidentally stumbled upon it as I was clicking around.
So are there more secrets?
