Enjoying this mission, thanks very much Dale - it's very atmospheric and absorbing. Lovely artwork, has a Gustave Doré look to it.
But I'm running out of time to spare on it, and am stuck with these three problems, if anyone can help:
Found all triangles except third from the left on the bottom row.
Found all planetary glyphs except Mercury and Jupiter.
Haven't found any cinnabar.

Is there a full walkthrough for this level? I don't mean to complain, because this is really an outstanding level. Reminds me of the old supernatural-themed PC adventure games of the 90s. But it's VERY frustrating looking for so many teeny-tiny objects hidden in obscure places with very little clues to go by!
At this point, I'm hunting for Triangles and I couldn't even tell you anymore where I found the three that I have!
Also, just a note of advice to players ... don't use up the flares you find just for lighting purposes! They have another use!

Keep in mind that these are bonus items, it's good enough to finish the FM without completing these.
However, here are some answers that should help:
Cinnabar:
Cinnabar can be found outside above the waterfall, there is a branch sticking out of the wall up near the east exit, needs a rope arrow.
The symbols:
Up on top of the high rafters in the attic, outside on the corner of the house on the terrace, in the room with the ladder that you use to climb to the 2nd floor, on a beam in the room with leather skins hanging on the wall, under the small circular staircase in the basement, in the wardrobe next to the skeleton, in the small room where you find the black owl.
The triangles:
Four of them are shown on the map that you find (these are the bottom four triangles):
- The first of these four is directly outside of the house near the wall (the map shows exactly where)
- Another is underneath the house, all the way at the bottom in the wolf maze, it's directly next to the hole in the wall through which you can see the green lantern.
- Another one is east of the house, outside in the grass on the other side of the ravine. If you go back from the house, go through the ravine and then turn right, you shoudl arrive at remains of a stone wall, it's buried in front of it on the right.
- Another is outside when you walk back down below the last cave exit. There's a bush in the corner where you found 2 healing fruits, the traingle is buried nearby.
The other 3 triangles can be found as follows:
- When you turn around after entering the dining room, there is a little spot above the entrance with planks laid on beams, climb up, frob a glyph on the left side.
- Inside the attic after going down the small staircase, there is a massive beam in the middle of the room. At the side of it where it’s joined by another beam, is a lever. Frobbing it opens another small attic room – in there, find a glyph on the black chest of drawers.
- The last one can be found in the room where lion devoured the sun, there is a wardrobe near the windows, next to it is a glyph. (If you haven't been to this room yet, continue with the main plot first)

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out - I'd seen the map, just hadn't tried using the serpent on it.

This FM is amazing! But I am thoroughly stumped. My current status is:
I've heard the break-in, but I chose not to pick up the potion bottle, as I don't want to trigger things roaming the house just yet, unless I need to.
I've gotten Saturn.
I've placed the lion, & been into the room it opens, though I haven't progressed the plot enough to know the code for the amulets, so I don't have them just yet. (Did that before, so I know what happens, but I reloaded a pre-potion bottle save for above mentioned 'hostile roamers' reason.
Filled the cauldron with rain water...just because the bottle I randomly filled with water randomly worked on the cauldron. No clue what it's for.
Alright, that's mostly my 'where I'm at now', and while I know I could continue on and complete the mission, I want to complete both optionals, so:
I have found, and placed, all triangle pieces except the bottom right, which I've been running around unsuccessfully looking for for over an hour. Upon scouring this thread, it seems to be the one listed as:
'- Another is outside when you walk back down below the last cave exit. There's a bush in the corner where you found 2 healing fruits, the triangle is buried nearby.'
...but... I'm not finding this location. I'm not certain if I'm just not grokking the 'last cave exit' explanation or what, but I've been looking all around caves & just not finding anything. The '2 fruit' bush is also a bust, because I've picked so many fruit I can't recall where I found any of them.
Any way to get a more specific/explicit explanation, if possible, or did anyone find it in a Let's Play that I can watch?
I really want to (fully) finish this mission. It's been absolutely amazing! I love the story, and it's been beautiful and a pleasure to play all the way through, visibly and audibly. Thank you so very much for this FM, Dale.
Edit to add: I never found any cinnabar, either! Wouldn't know it existed if I hadn't stumbled across mention of it in this thread while I was searching for what it is that I'm missing. I even checked where this thread said to check, because it meant that *gasp* I missed something!, so I just had to go look for it, but my sense of direction is obviously malfunctioning as I climbed all over the area mentioned it being found at and found absolutely nothing. Anyway, is there a book somewhere that mentions its use? Is that what the cauldron is used for?

From the house, head back through the hole in the wall and cross over the ravine. Hanging above the far side of the ravine is a tree you can stick a rope arrow into, which should let you find the cinnabar.
From the ravine, continue along the path until you reach an open area just before the broken staircase. This is where you can find the triangle.
As for the cauldron, there's a secret in that room you may not have found yet. Try lighting a candle.

Thanks, Grandmauden! I actually used a rope arrow on that branch hours before, when I hadn't even gotten to the house yet, but never noticed anything at that time. My subsequent searching always focused on the other side of the ravine, for some reason. Mental blocks galore for me this mission...
As for that last triangle, I wasn't even looking anywhere near that area. My brain seemed to have decided I'd found something near the stairs already, and shut down all thought of searching around it, and never even considered searching the upper area.
I don't know what registers as secrets in this mission. I found 3 of the 4, and I never would have thought about throwing flares at candles. I DID try that on the cauldron itself, but when nothing came of it, yet another mental block slid into place.
Ended the mission short 50 loot & 1 secret, but I don't feel shorted at all. Wonderful mission!
By the way, who was it I saw in the yard, when I looked outside a window once?

To answer some of the yet-unanswered questions:
In the yard when looking out of the window: That was Anita, or her spirit at least. At that point she knew you would go up and discover what happened since her body was there. She knew she couldn't stop you anymore.
The secrets: It's been a while but I believe there are 3 secret objects and 1 secret in the kitchen (which activates when you use the flare). The secret objects are the Skull of Samael, The Book of Circular Ruins, and the Black Pyramid painting.

I thought that was who was standing in the yard. I must've frozen for a good couple of minutes when I saw, just waiting for something to happen... this mission had me pretty spooked for a while!
For the secrets: I missed the book! Ahhh, so much to find in this mission! Thank you very much, Dale! :D
