Where do I find the
letter in mission 1?
If it is not already in your inventory, as Ricebug suggested, maybe you missed it. The only important letter I know of in that mission ist the one you're supposed to deliver later on. It is lying on a shore of the large underground lake with the submerged city, right next to
two skeletons: A mother and her child. The letter should be taken to her husband in order to inform him about what happened.

I've just started playing through this one, great mission!
I have a few questions regarding the first part.
When I paid a visit to Ol' Elmer the Giant (I think that was his name), I didn't like the idea of the lava burrick in my back so I closed the door as I went in. Is there any way to get back out after that? Crooked Town blind LP:

To which door are you referring? I don't recall one being near Elmer, except that large, fake one.

The metal cage doors at the entrance. It's roughly at 15:50 in part 1 of the LP. They were open and I just arbitrarily decided to close them (:laff:)
By the way,
Elmer scared the s*** out of me!

Hmmm... Looks like I need to do an update. The switch to open those gates are at the top of the elevator. The gates should have been made non-frobbable.
Tons of beta-testing and years in the public domain, and you have to go and close those gates. Tsk, tsk.
Send me your savegame file. Or email it to me. I'll "unlock" the gates so that you can continue on.
