I am right at the beginning and no matter what I do when I frob the skull nothing happens..I can see that a door in the floor is supposed to open but it doesnt...have I got a duff download?:(
I just re-downloaded and that seems to have worked.

Try to
collect all the skulls in and out and than frob it. At least that worked for me.

I broke the game. I manged to jump from up the table through the window (I crouched somehow at the window and managed to get through) in the first hut without picking up the spoon. There was no way back in there so what I want to say is DO NOT TRY THAT TOO :p
