You are in the main room, with the big b!tch walking around, you see the portal. What is on each side of the portal? Trying frobbing them with the gem stones too.

this old taffer seems to have no clue how to open that little box. no key to be found and my lockpicks dont work.
noone else seems to have reported it in this thread.
guess it is time for me to retire.

Nice try qolelis, but not really close (as evidenced by ZB's response).
Next guess :p :
Maybe it (the snow and especially the
cold) is a reference to
Garrett still being locked inside Doctor Lang's freezer, even though he thinks he escaped.

Took me a minute to figure it out.
Look around in one of the other rooms, you'll find a little machine, that goes up and down. Use that machine to squash the box!

Thank you, Brokenarts.
Finished mission!
Very nice work, congratulations! This was really scary and gloomy! One of the finest:)

Had you waited long enough before entering the portal (not that I blame you for high-tailing it out of there), she would have defeated all four of them in the throne room and then come after you. :cheeky:
General question to all:
Anyone care to guess why it's snowing at the end?Ahh, yes. I didn't stick around. :cheeky:
Anyway, could it have been snowing because. .
he was really still stuck in the freezer?

LOVELY MISSION
I thoroughly enjoyed that one!
Things that made me jump?
well I dont think a lot made me jump..I knew pertty much I was safe as I had no weapon?..to start with,,,.surely the author wouldnt leave me here without one?...this went on until I knew there would eventually be something to hurt me and the fear grew until I encountered the haunts....garsh that ol chain rattlin noise puts the willies up me...everytime...not much comes close to that particular feeling....I knew they would certainly kill me....but I still had no weapon?!!!!..oh my...that was when I felt most fearfulbrilliant mission tho,

Finished
Just played it in pitch darkness and now I'm all freaked out, that must be what it feels like to slowly go mad! :weird:
Very, very nice job Will and Yandros that was quite an experience that I have a feeling will stay with me for some time.
The narrative approach worked very well and I liked the statue room's homage to the original DP1 ending :thumb:
Oh and about the snow I agree with the others: everything from the freezer onwards is a dream?
Amazing job, congratulations to everyone involved.

Either I'm just more honest, or I'm the only person who does scare easily. I couldn't play through DP1 in a single sitting :(
So if you count time in between plays, this is probably going to take me closer to a week then 1.5 hours Yandros! :p
Still downloading it though. If I need counselling I'll come here first.

I'm a bit confused at the end...
If Garrett was still stuck in the freezer, then everything onwards is a dream right? So the storytelling was all part of his dream. If so...how DID he escape those living statues? He must've kept dreaming how he got out of those..uhh sewers thing and finally get back to the city to retell it to his friend.
I dunno, this makes me hope for DP3...which could take another 6 years XD
