I re-downloaded the mission, after re-loading T2 in darkloader and deleting the old DP2_v10.zip. I started a new game. I could hear the conversation in the pub at three different times in short, partial sounds. I did not receive a key from the woman in white.
It sounds like it is a problem on my PC, but I don't know where to start, knowing that I've had no similar problems recently, or as far back as I can remember. It might make sense if the problem was just with the conversation, but why do I never get a key from the woman in white before she says, "follow me" and floats through the locked double door?

Because she doesn't "give" the key to you. The key is placed on the windowsill near the painting she came from.

SS is right. I didn't mention it before, because there's a place a little later on where she actually does give you a key, and I thought that's what you were referring to. And I thought we should resolve the sound issue first.
Since you're hearing parts of the sounds now, it sounds like an issue with your system and maybe the format of the sound files, I don't know. DO you mean you hear some lines but not others, or some words but not others within the same line?

Thanks for clearing up the key issue, SS and Yandros. That's the problem with reading through 12 pages of posts trying to find an answer. I ended up skimming, and didn't know about the later giving of a key, I just saw someone mention getting a key from her, and knew that I didn't and that I couldn't open the doors.
As far as the intermittent sound goes, I may have heard 4 whole words total in three different instances combined. During the entire pub conversation, I could hear background sound, but I had no dialogue for at least a few exchanges, then part of a word, a few more exchanges with nothing, then a few words, a few more exchanges with nothing, then another word or laugh, and finished with nothing. Like I said, I haven't had any other similar problems, and I've played 5-8 FMs in the last few weeks with no problems, and the OMs work fine. The sound files can be played separately in WMP with no problems. I'm not too worried about that conversation, though it would be nice to hear it.
I see how the .wav files are numbered. Are all 28 included in the conversation, and are they in order according to number-letter?
wil1908A.wav
gar1908B.wav
wil1908C.wav
gar1908D.wav
etc.
ending with Garrett saying, "'Til tomorrow, then."?
If so, I can listen manually and hope this problem won't surface later in this mission, or any other.
Thanks for your responses. I'll give this one another go later. I'm off to a local bar for wing night and a 25 oz. Chimay Blue.

Yes, but they don't all play at the beginning. There are two shorter scenes you'll see in the middle of the mission, and then another large one at the end.
Pub Scenes
Opening scene: 1908
Interim scene #1: 1909 A-D
Interim scene #2: 1909 E-J
Finale: 1910
There are other important cutscenes as well, especially a long one between you and some... Keepers. If you don't hear those lines when you get there, let me know and I'll tell which files to listen to.

Finished. Great Mission, Yandros! I was able to hear everything completely except the first two pub conversations. I'm not going to worry about the reason unless it comes up in the future.

Ah, yes, I've taken to renaming all osm modules in my missions. It started with gen and the problems with the patched version in the ZIP not getting installed.
Anyway, uhm.... the pods DO in fact do something, and all you have to do is bump into them. Although the sword should do the trick too. As for your lantern - sorry I didn't credit you, I got that mission from Will with no attributions and didn't know where most of that stuff came from, I thought it was mostly from DEDx. I'll add you to the readme when and if I ever do an update.
There's a few FMs that foolishly included copies of gen and convict (one was a T2 mission with a convict from T1!) so I made DarkLoader picky about those things.
Yeah, so I'm gonna have to go back and look at the pods. Is it that the ones in the upper hallway don't do anything? With señor cobra in the lower room I didn't stick around to investigate the other pods.
And am I supposed to be able to walk through the mirror without breaking it? Okay, maybe Garrett colliding causes it to break. But there's still the messed-up continuity as the keepers are suddenly already in the physical world. Something to consider if you patch it. (Also remember to use TrigOBBPlayer next time.)
I don't really care about the lantern model. It's not like I'm any good at making objects. (It was just a cut-n-paste job between the standard lantern and Schwaa's candle anyway.)

The one in the right doorway in the upper hallway will also do something, as will the ones in the room with the cobraman. If you kill him with the sword (easy to do) you can go back and play with the pods to your heart's content.

Errrr, sounds like you totally missed a cutscene there. When you return to their room after placing both gems and opening the portal, you should get a scene (viewed from third person) where they exchange a few lines, then Garrett walks up and smashes the mirror and all the Keepers run through it, followed by Garrett (the AI). I'm assuming something buggered up and you didn't get that...

It's been a while since i played this and since i got a new computer, i haven't gotten around to installing thief just yet (Sorry, too busy) but.. YOU BASTARD! In the local town of Battle (In England), they have been having a scarecrow contest.. Scarecrows are placed all around the town.. i was walking thought there at night... You did such a good job here that i was jumping like mad when i turned a corner to see a scarecrow or such... I think i might have said well done before, but i though i would bring this bit up ^_^
