I don't scare easily, so it was something to actually jump out of my chair in this mission. I also downloaded and played DP1 for the first time yesterday and the ending of that also scared the crap out of me. Well done Will and Yandros!
I especially liked...
The poltergeist in the library
The shadow world and keepers
The storyline twists (Barney and the unusual ending)
And the Halloween scarecrow was genius! :wot:

A similar scarecrow is used in other FM's. Same effect, and it still makes you jump. Some don't move, and some do. I've come to *NOT TRUST THOSE BASTARDS* whenever I see them in an FM. You never know what they'll do!

Spoil:
one chest is in the hall with the portal, one chest is in the 'cellar' area with the spiders, through a hole in the wall.Just a note to others reading this thread:
The chest in the spider area is there on all difficulties (although the number and placement of the spiders varies). However, the second chest is in a different location based on difficulty. Watcher's location is for Expert (Petrify Me). It's in relatively easier/safer areas on the lesser difficulties.Quote Posted by Bikerdude
you bastard, LOL the damn scarecrow - made me jump in my chair...
Awesome!

http://cache.hyves-static.net/images/smilies/default/smiley_hangloose.gifThe scarecrow serves a very specific gameplay purpose in this mission. I'd like to thank ZB for his suggestions which helped out with him. And you have no idea how many problems I had with the scarecrow not wanting to recognize the pathfinding database (which to you non-Dromeders means it was hard to get him to move at all)! One of the FMs BA is referring to is Hipbreaker's
Insurrection, I believe.
What specifically made you jump, TCP?

I liked a lot of the things already mentioned. One thing that hasn't been mentioned, is the game play itself. It was tricky in some spots, but, it wasn't so over the top ridiculous that we couldn't figure it out. I do think a happy medium was struck on just how hard to make it, and how hard it would be to play. With exploration, you find what you need. Think on what makes things work, how to solve problems. Well done.
I saw that scarecrow in the corner, I immediately didn't trust him.......

General question to all:
Anyone care to guess why it's snowing at the end?Maybe it's a reference to
The Powder (snow - drugs - powder) mentioned by
Doctor Lang.

I was sneaking past a Haunt and it turned and caught me by surprise. That wouldn't normally scare me but the general atmosphere of the level up to then helped a lot. Also...
when Barney was slowly walking on the marble floor and the door slammed open I was scared just a little.:erm:

Nice try qolelis, but not really close (as evidenced by ZB's response).

I've got two gemstones, but don't know how to activate the portal! Can anyone help? Thank you!
