There is a door behind that banner.
One of the haunts in that area has got the key (hope he hasn't got his day out again ;)).
Check the hooks.

In order to play it wasn't really necessary to be able to read German, although I suppose the story was lost.
I think the plaque about darkness refers to [SPOILER]putting out the light in the church to frob the torch.[/SPOILER]

Just finished this mission and thoroughly enjoyed it. Do not know any German and managed it just fine. You may not need to wait for the English translation.

I have been playing this level for hours now. I have all three keys and have opened the lock behind the banner in the barracks. I still have not been in the church or have gone past the stone wall with the saying "Only the darkness permeates walls!". I have extinguished all four of the torches I have seen so far to be sure. I cannot get past the banner because I do not have a sword. Can anyone help me out?:erg:
