I have 2 updates to v1.1. (each 2,5 MB)
(
http://garrett.cjb.hu/dwn_d4.htm)
In the "no intro" version I've removed the scripted intro and the mission starts simply in the room without intro, but it is to be feared that the crash problem isn't resultant of the script, but is a hardware requirement issue, because the mission uses too many custom resources (especially textures). Anyway, if the problem really is it or not, soon I'll release a lite version for this FM with minimal custom resource usage, but more lowest in visuals. :erg:

When I started to load the mission 10. or 15. times, I was desperate about if it crashes again. But It works fine with "no intro" version :D The house at the beginning resembles turkish village houses (carpet, bed,etc...)

Oh my god, finally! I'm very happy :angel:
I hope it will works for the other players as well, I've included this patch in the 1.1 full package in the w98_patch subdir, what will be available on the Thiefmissions.

You'll have to replace every single use of OnScreenText with the alternate IntrinsicText script, if that's in fact what the problem is. I'd recommend having someone with Win98/ME to fully test it (complete the mission) before releasing again.

Ops! Allright, I need a smack of patience from the W9x users, we found the problem and I'll fix it right now then we'll test it :idea:

While you're at it, how about setting the property
Code:
DarkGamesys->Loot:0;0;0;[None]
for any non-frobbable loot item in the mission as well?

Right, the v1.1 patch with intro crashes to desktop.
But with the v1.1 patch without intro i get the same problem as SneakieRaven - as soon as i step outside the door, it crashes to desktop.
