I can't get into the fire shrine, am I missing something obvious:confused:

The Fire Shrine is in the crypt. Is that where you are? Once you've done the Air room and gotten the Key to the Fire Shrine, a door in the crypt opens that wasn't open before. Have a look around in there and check the throne guard you can see through the grate carefully.
I loved this mission! The castle is gorgeous and has some very nice ways to get from one place to another. This series overall has been outstanding in it's originality, use of music to set the mood and great architecture. I only found a little over 1400g. though even after playing through twice. Is there really 2522g. available in the mission? If so, are there any nice big hidden stashes that I might have missed?

No, I was on top of the castle next to the earthshrine with the lonely guard walking back and forth. I didn't think the crypt had more than it did.
What a mission. So suspencefull and spooky.
Thanks again Nightwalker for your help. :thumb:

Oh, good news here! :D
First I want to say a big THANK YOU for your help Yandros to fix the on-screen problem! Also thanks for those who are tested or testing this fixation under Win9x.
This is my preultimate FM of the Dracula series, soon I begin to build the last mission named probably "The end complete". But before this work I need to setup a final d4.zip for the Cheap Thief Missions archive. :cheeky:
Thank you for everyone:thumb:

That'll be my problem, then. I have
frobbed the coffin and dropped the amulet in, but I can't get into the darkthrone room. I assumed I got in there after I'd done the 4 shrines. Where's the key for the darkthrone room?

first find the map in the library then go to the portico. there is the key
Shit, I ran around the portico about 5 times being chased by a crew of angry guards, just to see what was in there. *sigh* Now I'll have to go back and have a more thoughtful, sneaksie look.
Thanks, Sensut.

gorice, you can knockout those guards in the portico you know. ;)

I have tried all three flavours of this mission but none seem to work under Windows 2000
The original crashed to the desktop when the mission was about to start and the next two just start without all the pretty graphics but also leave me with just the light gem and a black screen
**sigh**
And yes I have all the latest scripts etc installed and every other mission works fine and all that plenty of grunt in the hardware department etc

Total stab in the dark but i once had the same problem with Serge Bank, it was solved by renaming 'DARK.GAM' to '2.GAM' perhaps a similar problem along those lines?
