nope, I am at a loss there too. Actually, if someone could help out this witless wonder on this little issue:

maybe that is the problem.

It took me a heck of a long time to figure out the portal, too.
<BLOCKQUOTE><FONT size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">Spoiler:</font><DIV STYLE="background-color:#000080"><FONT color="#000080">
I'm not sure what the correct method was, but I used a rope arrow to climb up on the ledge and then I got in each corner and shot an arrow at the portal. The arrow I shot was the "opposite" of the color in the corner I was standing in. Anyway, it was fairly confusing since the letter didn't make it clear whether opposite meant the element in the opposite direction or the actual opposite element. Plus, the corners werent perfectly lined up N, S, E, and W, and the elements on the ceiling made it even more confusing. When you shoot the correct arrow, some of the particles moving across the portal will disappear.
The wierd thing with the moss arrow happened to me as well. I shot a moss arrow on the floor right beneath me and I started falling until I went splat. It's very similar to what happens when you jump through the portal to finish the mission except you just get mission complete instead of a splat.
I never figured out the statue behind the automatic double sliding doors. Did it have a purpose? Also, was there a way to open the front doors of the temple?

Sorry about the portal being so confusing, I was trying to strike a balance between a useful hint and keeping the story coherant (poor Fr Conrad just went thru hell & back (literally) to seal that thing, he wouldn't want it easy to open ;). Looks like I'll have to put a walkthru together for some of the more difficult parts. In regards to your last two questions:
<BLOCKQUOTE><FONT size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">Spoiler:</font><DIV STYLE="background-color:#000080"><FONT color="#000080"> No, the statue is just there for looks, it's a part of the purification rituals the Brothers had to go thru before entering the Holy of Holies. More on that will be revealed in "Smooth Criminal," which will be the sequel to this one, probably around the end of the year/early next. And no, there's no way to open the main temple doors. I figured 4+ ways was more than enuf to get in ;) </FONT></DIV></BLOCKQUOTE>

Heya, Metalhead, I've really been enjoying this one, especially
<BLOCKQUOTE><FONT size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">Spoiler:</font><DIV STYLE="background-color:#000080"><FONT color="#000080"> How the undead guards explode, then turn into ..er..."freaky balls of badass" for lack of a better term. </FONT></DIV></BLOCKQUOTE>
I do have a question, though, and I did read the spoilers in previous posts, but <BLOCKQUOTE><FONT size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">Spoiler:</font><DIV STYLE="background-color:#000080"><FONT color="#000080"> which underwater room is the flour container in? Thanks and I look forward to more!

LOl "freaky balls of badass" I like that. Maybe I should change my archetype names heheh. TO answer your question:
<BLOCKQUOTE><FONT size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, sans-serif">Spoiler:</font><DIV STYLE="background-color:#000080"><FONT color="#000080">The can of flower is in the first basement, in a corner near a half-submerged table, I think in the shadow of a pillar, it's a little hard to spot, but it's the only frobbable can there. </FONT></DIV></BLOCKQUOTE>

hee hee... that is a good name for them. I just wanted to thank you for all your help, and to let you know that it was a well done mission. I think I am going to go play it again. ;)
I especially like the females zombies... that had me rolling with laughter... :)
Thanks again!

This is a very good mission, though I've had a few technical glitches, including the game aborting or computer lockup whenever I descended into the basement. (Very slowly creeping down there seemed to solve that.)
I'm playing on Nuckin' Futs level and I've completed all the objectives, but I'm stuck at 1590 loot (1700 required). Can someone provide any hard-to-find loot references?
By the way, I love Wynne's come-hither female zombie. Great stuff! :)
