Mission geniale Gaetane. Ca ete un reel plaisir d'y jouer. L'histoire des deux mondes en parallele est une bonne idee. En un mot, felicitation pour cette sublime mission :thumb: . A quand la suite ou la prochaine car j'ai hate d'y jouer. Taffer toujours, taffer ready ! :)

I got the mask from the floating man by climbing up a roap arrow in the hall where he was hanging. That worked also.
Thanks Nightwalker, I'll go and try now.

Nightwalker, I hád found the button above the bookcase already.
But your suggestion (throwing the notes into the fire worked!:cheeky: Yippie!
This is a great mission, isn't it?
I just think it it hard to know all the "in's and out's" about non-original-thiefgame-ways-and-ideas which occur in this game (and many others). I think a lot of the issues are mentioned in the readable books and notes that one meets on its way, so perhaps I should be a bit more patient to read them all, even if they're written in another language (which for me is ALWAYS !).
Still, hitting a pedestal with your sword and throwing notes into a fire to complete a objective, are very difficult to find out without any help from the maker or another player (thank you Nightwalker and others) of such a FM.
(Did I really read enough ...........I don't think so...).
Well, anyway: I really had to learn to HIT some doors with my SWORD to open them instead of my lockpicks or a key, in a lot of FM's b.t.w.
................and now ........... I've become such a
:sly:  :erm: :grr: :ebil: ) thieving Taffer person........Yeah, yeah, yeah.......:sly:

I've got so many things to do that I can't do, I don't know where to begin. The thread here seems to only confuse me. So, I'll list a couple of issues I'm facing.
1. In the church, downstairs, which leads eventually to the graveyard, there is a large room the door to which doesn't open. But further on there is a tiny window you can peak into and see a couple of guys standing around. I could never get in there.
2. In the winter town scenario, in the building, there are stairs leading up to the second floor, but I can't open them.
3. Again, in the winter section, the eyeball room and the shed with the multiple buttons.
One button leads back (or forward) to the previous time. Is that the function? Or is there a two/three/four button code which does something important.
This is just scraping the surface. There are things I probably shouldn't have done that I did, and things I should have done that I didn't, but I can't go back to undo what I didn't know I did.
I need a drink.

this is your next step
go to the gate that is locked on top of stairway and put torches out and mantle up torch next to gate on either side i used the torch on the right,i had a problem with mantling up the torch but it is possible.
i am sure after that you will figure out next step.
Nightwalker on 13/6/2003 at 03:30
There's a much easier way to get past that gate.
Search the rooms downstairs for a man standing in front of a mirror. He has a bunch of flowers in his hand. Take those back to the kitchen and put them in a bowl in front of the servant girl that patrolled the hallway in the other world. She'll go up and open the gate for you.
As for the room you saw into, you DO get in there, but I can't remember if you would have access to that part yet or not and I'm too tired to check. I'm sure someone else will come along who recalls the sequence of events. I THINK you get there
by climbing up into the rafters of the torture room, but I'm not at all sure about that.
I only played this mission once and now I'm waiting for the English version to go through it again. :)
As for question 3:
The only use that I know of for this room is to get back to the "other world" when you need to.
Poison: The trouble with mantling up the torch is there are heaps of shadow guards hacking me with their swords when I get close enough.
Nightwalker: Sadly, the servant girl got conked, so I may have to go back to a previous saved game and start again from there.
But at least I have a gameplan now. Thanks to both of you.

Clock -
There are a couple of other people that NEED to be awake. This problem has been reported to Gaetane and hopefully a solution will be found for the English version. As it is, there is a note telling you that some of these people can be helpful, but since we can't read it, it doesn't help us. Don't KO the drunk guard standing in front of a gate downstairs and don't KO the man in the green jacket with a wine bottle in each hand, upstairs. You'll need them both.
